Ok so after everything that happened. The conning of people out of their money and brainwashing and murder, mother and daughter managing to escape after killing the bad guys, how does it end? We see Lori the assistant welcoming new guests to the spa! Ummmm don't cops usually shut places down and don't authorities revoke operations permits and licenses in dodgy situations? Oh well, only in America and LMN the implausible becomes plausible!!!!

***SPOILERS***Mind numbing Lifetime made for TV movie about a single mother Dawn ,Amy Pietz, and her daughter Kayla, Tracey Fairaway, getting away from the pressures of everyday life by taking a weeks vacation to this out of the way health spa run by the man with all the answers to life death and everything in between David James-A fake name if there ever was one- played Johnny Withworth. Right away Kayla realizes that this David isn't exactly what he makes himself out to be in being the kindest most feeling and loving person who ever walked the face of the earth by catching him trying to strangle one of the spa, named "The Source", members for trying to check out without his permission. There's also the limp wrist Brett, Devon Werkheiser, who secretly supplies her with juicy cheeseburgers, the spa only serves vegetarian meals, who warns Kayla that the lovable David isn't exactly what he cranks himself up to be but a Jim Jones like cult leader who's planning to take her and everyone else there for a ride after fleecing them of their life savings. Despite Kayla's warning about what David and his crew of psycho's are up to her mom Dawn still thinks the world of him and it's after one of David's henchmen's Siddhrtha, Charles Fathy, is seen after murdering the blabber mouth, in shooting his mouth off about David & co,Brett she finally sees the light and joins Kayla in trying to escape from David's clutches. Saddhratha who later tried to murder Dawn ends up falling to his death when she, after hours of working out at the spa, flips him over a 30 foot cliff breaking his neck. ****SPOILERS**** David throwing off his nice guy image now goes after both Dawn & Kyla in an effort to keep them from reporting him to the local police as well well as mental wards but is blinded by the flood light that he used to torture his victims and shot full of holes by both Dawn and Kyla who had since learned, from him, to become expert shots with a bow and arrow! Still with David out of the way the spa is still fully operational with no one outside of it, including the police, not having a clue or caring what's going on in there. P.S What I noticed about the movie was that the last half of it didn't have a single commercial in it making me feel that it was so bad that one one was willing to even sponsor or be connected with it.

"Deadly Spa" (a.k.a., "Zephyr Springs") is an extremely unpleasant film set in a spy in Zephyr Springs. Dawn and her college-age daughter Kyla decide to splurge on an adventure to a spy that affords the chance to get away and to bond in an idyllic setting. But the adventure to hideaway called The Source turns into a nightmare. The spa is run by a depraved individual named David James, who apparently has no credentials in psychology. At best, he comes across as a New Age guru. At worst, he is a nefarious predator. At one point, he waxes philosophical about taking a Left and Right turn. In his own life, he admits that he made the wrong decision and now must suffer the consequences. After mother and daughter have arrived at the spy, Dawn is quite enamored of David. But the perceptive daughter senses something disturbing in his manner. While Kyla wants to leave the spy, Dawn insists that they stay. Through the young waiter Brett, Kyla learns that David is deranged, and that he has his sights set on keeping the mother and daughter hostage and brainwashing them. The smooth operator David learns that the most vulnerable side of Dawn is her fear of being hurt again in a relationship. And he learns that Kyla lacks confidence and desires more than anything to believe that she is beautiful. David uses that information to dig his tentacles into the women. Again, it is Kyla who sees through David and resists him. The frantic action sequence that brings things to a head involves the sport of archery. Early in the film, Kyla demonstrated that she was a skilled archer. For the sharp film viewer, there was no doubt at that moment that the bow and arrows would be put to good effect in the climax. Kyla's marksmanship will be on display, and the relationship of Dawn and Kyla will be put to the test. Sometimes, their relationship may bend. But like the path of an accurately placed arrow, the mother-daughter bond will never break.

I found this movie suspenseful and enjoyed the plot and the theme, which is a character named Dawn (played excellently by 'Caroline In The City's Amy Pietz) and how she tries to get herself and her daughter Kayla (Tracey Fairaway) to reunite for a weekend getaway at a popular spa resort owned by guru David James (CSI: Miami's Johnny Whitworth) and they have to fight for their lives. It's a run of the mill type movie, but Johnny's character is fantastic. I didn't know he was so versatile that he can play a detective on TV and a mastermind criminal here. Very good! The rest of the movie can be slow, though. It does have a 'David Koresh' feel for it and Whitworth certainly could play him in a movie. It's fun to watch, but in the end, the director yells cut and the actors go back to their real lives which is acting. Sadly, I feel that actress Fairaway should take another line of work. Acting is not her style. Amy, however, this is the only other time I've seen her in a movie, so where has she been all this time?

There is something therapeutic about watching a scary film set in a health spa. It was lifetime made although it looked ever so gorgeous. The landscape was just beautiful. The spa was also eye candy. The mother and daughter go on a holiday together at a health spa, but something sinister is going on inside the walls. Check out the amazing scenery and waterfall.

The film starts off with a good premise that a mother and daughter go to a spa to unwind and bring out accommodation between the two. Seems that the husband of the woman walked out on her years ago, and this has led to both her and her daughter being quite troubled. Instead, the film degenerates quickly where the two become victims of the spa's owner, who looks to brainwash his residents, keep them there and in the process clean out their bank accounts. The daughter seems to walk in on our predator during shall we say difficult times. Mother eventually witnesses a murder. This becomes nothing more than a cult movie. Bring out the cool-aid on this one.
