Your Move is an exciting, edge-of-the-seat movie that will engage your attention from the first minute till the last. The story is captivating and well written which makes the movie worth watching more times because new details and contexts can be discovered with every view. The actors are brilliant: Luke Goss shows his talent in transforming his role from loving humble familyman into a stout-hearted guy who fights for his family at all costs, and Robert Davi proves that he is as good in playing a good guy as in his villain roles. But why I loved the movie the most is its visual world: with its special, close cuts and the changes of the sharp/blurred contrasts it engages the viewer and creates the feeling of being part of the scenes, while the wonderful vivid colours and the warm tones make you believe of being in Mexico. Luke Goss is the writer, producer, director and main actor of Your Move, and he greatly fulfilled every role. Your Move is his directorial debut and based on this film there is a great directorial carreer ahead of him. A must-see film!

It really was so bad that I literally threw away the movie as soon as it ended to never ever make the mistake of wasting my time on this crap.... If I could give it a negative star rating I would just so others won't waste there time on this.

This is Luke Goss' directorial debut and he does not disappoint! He also stars in the film which has a gripping storyline from start to finish. It leaves you on the edge of your seat with its various twists and turns. This film showcases Luke's unique talents as a director, producer, writer and actor as he plays the leading role with Robert Davi, Alain Mora and Patricia de Leon, all gifted actors in my opinion. I have seen the film several times now and have been moved to tears at the end scene. This is one you will not want to miss!

Well, Luke Goss should leave acting and directing to others who are good at that, and go back ti singing.

Luke's directorial debut is a massive success!! This movie pulls you in from the beginning and keeps you there the whole way through. Brilliantly written and brilliantly played out by all the actors. Luke took time to pay attention to the lighting and angles and it paid off. Absolutely fantastic! I look forward to more of his movies.

This is a very thought provoking film asking the question, how far would you go to protect your family?! It's takes you on a rollercoaster ride of action and emotion from start to finish. Beautifully shot and a talented cast. As a directoral debut Luke Goss did a great job.

YOUR MOVE is a tiny-budgeted non-starter of a thriller from singer-turned-actor Luke Goss, who also writes and directs. He shouldn't have bothered. Given the lack of money available here, this is a film which goes for attempted character depth but comes across as slow and boring, sleep-inducing rather than profound. As a thriller it simply doesn't thrill; the cliched opener sets things off in a mildly promising way but the pacing quickly drops at that point. Goss is okay as an actor, and Robert Davi is a delight as ever, but the plot is entirely routine and the few action scenes we are treated to are anything but exciting.

Very rarely do we find an actor who takes on too many roles in his own film and succeeds. Here is another example of that failure. As actor, producer, writer and director, he was actually impressive for his directorial debut. His acting in this film was pretty decent for a B-grade actor. But he failed miserably in the writing department. Aside for it being only a decent 90 min length film, it felt much longer than that. The pace was very slow and the overly obvious and unnecessarily dragged out scenes should have been edited out. This film would have been better off being 60 mins. Then there was the huge plot issues and unbelievable scenes - too many to point out and give away the spoilers, but you can't miss them, they're everywhere. He would have been better off passing on the writing and screenplay to someone with more experience to make many scenes more believable and avoid the massive plot and story issues. The other major and obvious from the start issue was the sound. Someone needed to place the boom mics much closer to the actors. All dialog sounded like it was coming from another room. In some cases, the score was louder than the dialogue and I missed entire sentences. The score was also kinda lame and also made the pace feel slower than it was. Overall still very ambitious and successful in his directorial debut, and rating this as a low budget amateur B-grade production, it's a 6/10 from me. Did I still enjoy it with its flaws? Yes. Would I recommend it or see it again? Most likely not.
