I am not sure what to think of this movie, I expected so much more to be honest. Literally nothing was happening 90% of the movie. They did not bother to explain girl's relationships too much. It was a little bit confusing. Scenes are unnecessarily long most of the time, I dozed off several times. Kristen Dusten sure did cry a lot....

I wouldn't say I love the film, but I definitely understand the profound meaning and the music really brings out an emotional and compelling viewing experience.

While this film is not for everyone, I feel it important to determine the difference between empath and psychotic. The main character is empathic which is what got her into the state we witness. Without the trauma of her life, she is not abnormal. It is sad. It is life. It is the coming unglued of someone who wants to help people and makes a mistake thus ending in her destruction and distrust in the world. She is profoundly a victim of her empathy and that is an endless topic of debate. Do not watch if you prefer less subtle subject matter.

I can't remember I last anticipated seeing a film as much as this. No theatrical release to speak of here in the UK, impossible to find on domestic dvd so ended up with a Dutch import. The IMDB score of 4.3 wasn't encouraging but I was still looking forward to seeing it. In the end it was a real pleasure. Not a film you watch for narrative satisfaction but intensely atmospheric and a performance from Kirsten Dunst that kept you engaged from start to finish. Beautiful to look at, listen to and experience. Well worth your time.

I don't even know why I'm sitting here watching this. So bad. None of it goes anywhere. So boring. A total waste of time.

This mess started out slowly and kept slowing down. Kirsten Dunst tried her best in a less than happy-go-lucky role of a grieving daughter who helped her terminally ill mother exit the planet by getting her to smoke a poisoned doobie. She has trouble dealing with the grief and guilt so going back to work at the cannabis shop wasn't the best idea. Her boss wants her back but she seems to just show up when she wants to. I wish my boss let me do that. Dunst seems to be in every scene and she runs the emotional gamut of depressed, very depressed, extremely depressed and then angry before going back to depressed again. Giving away any more of this movie's weirdness would be counterproductive. My advice is to make a trip to your neighborhood pot store to get some wacky weed. Just don't let a blonde named Theresa sell it to you. She has a tendency to mix up the orders. Then toke up before Netflixing this yawner. Who knows, maybe you'll find a plot. I couldn't.

I can appreciate other people's "Art". The cinematography is the only positive about this movie... The story could have been good but it was so slow & just ridiculous... I tried, I really did but when it ended I was thinking, why? .. I love all of these actors.. I have loved watching all of their work.. They are each so very talented but even they couldn't make a bad script look good... The 3 starts are for Kirsten, Joe & Pilou who so very graciously agreed to do this movie! I hope they were each paid very well!

I believe this film is ahead of its time. I can appreciate this movie for several reasons 1) I was in the right mental space, I wasn't expecting a lot 2) It reminded me of several films I've watched in a dream in cinema class, therefore I could appreciate the work that was put into this film 3) The cinematography was stunning. Sure, if you're looking for a film that has an easy to follow premise, this may not be the movie for you! But if you enjoy symbolism, beautiful shots, and controversial topics, give it a try. I don't think you need to know exactly what is happening in the moment to enjoy a film.

There was a lot here with potential. Kirsten Dunst did a good job and the cinematography and production were actually really good. The problem is although the film has a strong central premise it feels as though it is constantly searching for its fundamental story thread. It never quite manages to provide that compelling central part to the story which the other story threads can be anchored too. Even the main plot line of the grief stricken woman falling into a drug fueled fantasy feels more like a side plot to a missing central story. Its a shame, there really was a lot here to like but it ended up being a mediocre film as a result.
