"Wish Man" movie screening in New York City. The movie is about the founder of the Make a Wish Foundation, Frank Shankwitz, telling of his difficult childhood experience of abandonment in a dysfunctional family situation, and the event that motivated him to reach out to terminally ill children, so they would know their value. Preparing myself for an underwhelming film, due to its relation to the charity organization, I was soon impacted by the realness presented by a well produced film. Theo Davies put together a storyline that flowed with humor and emotion, which effectively inspired the audience. This is a piece of Americana and a story that reminds us all of things are that are most important in our lives.

I have been anxious to see this Film for Months, as Andrew Steel and Director Theo Davies were in San Diego doing PR and I saw them interviewed on KUSI News, but never was released in San Diego theatres ? Anyway, finally found it available for Purchase on Amazon Prime. Needless to say it was worth the wait ! What an outstanding Job in Film Making. The way Andrew Steel brings Frank Shankwitz to Life on screen brought me to tears. All the weak reviews are trolls for sure because I do not see how anyone with a Heart could not connect to this true story. The Flashbacks to his childhood seemed so real. The Comradery of all the characters is really well done too. Having some of the Cast from CHIPS in the Film was smart. An emotion filled Movie thru out, well worth your time and Means something Special. This is the story of the Founder of the Make a Wish Foundation but mainly about his life and childhood and what inspired Him to Found it.

Wishman is a must see film. It's touching, well acted, written and directed. When I saw it, Wishman got a well deserved standing ovation from the audience. I've recommended it on social media and personally to friends and family.

The film is a touching true story of one mans journey through life it really does try to pull on your heart strings and leaves you feeling quite warm inside, I don't want to give to much away but it follows Frank smitch* a guy who started a charity the "make a wish" foundation for terminally ill children this film is like a rollercoaster one minute your laughing or smiling the next your holding back tears I've given it a 10 out of 10 because I like these sort of Drama type films but even if you don't it's worth a 7 , I suggest you watch it you will be glad you did. ENJOY!

Good acting....funny and loyal characters.... wish it wasnt so under rated....explains life in general...corrupted people will harm only themselves

Whenever you laugh and cry during the same film you know it's a good one. It was like being on a roller coaster of emotions provided by the excellent writing from Theo Davies. He has a knack for drawling in the audience's attention and keeping it there throughout the entire film. The acting was fantastic especially by the main actors; Chris Day (Young Frank), Christian Ganiere (Michael), Andrew Steel and Kirby Bliss Blanton. You really felt the Andrew and Kirby had a real connection just like I'm sure Frank Shankwitz and Kitty Carlisle have. The supporting cast was led by CHIPs Alumni Robert Pine and Larry Wilcox. Talk about pros? They made it look easy. Steven Michael Quezada (Breaking Bad) also did a great job being young Frank's mentor, Juan Delgadillo.

Wish Man takes the viewer on an incredible ride of emotions. A remarkable story that will leave you feeling inspired to make the world a better place...

One of the most heart felt life experiences that could happen to all of us. Never ever give up on your dreams,, no matter how difficult or complicated your life may become. Trust In God Almighty & never give up hope. I would definitely recommend this to children of all ages. Never forget, we all live two lives, the one we learn from, and the one we live after that. The only true path to happiness Is though suffering.

This inspiration film shows that one motivated person who saw and felt the need to change the world did so. Frank Shankwicz overcame obstacles and had the idea to create one of the world's premier charitable organizations in the World. You will be inspired by watching this movie. I walked out of the theater very inspired.
