Who is Amos Otis?

This is a Brilliant film. Who could believe in 2020 that fictional president (Trump) would be so incredibly accurate as to the actions of the O'Biden presidency? Well here it is, December 2023, O'Biden is fulfilling the prophecy. The world is on the brink of WW3 ; the economy is on the verge of collapse. People are being jailed because O'Biden doesn't like their beliefs. History is being re-imagined. People are being shamed for doing their own research. What's next O'Biden stopping the 2024 election? At any rate, this is an excellent film. Don't watch this film if you want to remain asleep or unconscious. Jai Nitai Gauranga.

I just watched the film at the recommendation of a friend, and I liked it! I felt the courtroom scenes played out realistically for the most part, with the possible exception of the prosecutor whose whiny outbursts and badgering of John Doe probably wouldn't have been tolerated by the judge. The public defender was particularly sympathetic, well-acted, and believable. With a smidge of the "what if you could go back to kill Baby Hitler" moral argument, it is imaginative, enthralling, and--for those capable of it--thought-provoking. To that last point, I did also enjoy the sweet, sweet tears of a couple other reviewers here. Amusing!

Movie depicts Biden to a T . Everything the man said would happen has happened there is war everywhere thanks to Biden and now he is prosecuting his political opponent . The man is a dictator. Not sure why I need so many characters but this drama .... Well let me put it like this the movie was really cheap and trash , it's just funny to me how it really fit president Biden very well despite what the writer may have actually intended. Just watch it for yourself and you will see how much it sounds like president Biden they are talking about but I kind of got the idea that also the film was actually trying to encourage some nut case to assassinate the president so honestly these people should probably be investigated .

I'm not here to judge a film based on the politics of the story it purports to tell. I'm here to give a rating and opinion based on the work... the story, the acting, the direction, the impact it has on me. I doubt the people who gave this film a "1" can say the same. Politics aside, this is a cleverly concocted and well done tale. No matter how you vote, you have to give credit to Greg Newberry for pulling off this shocking low-budget, buzz-creating feature, and give kudos to Josh Katawick and Rico Reid who do excellent work portraying Defendant and Attorney in a Presidential assassination trial. Yes, the empty-courtroom "trial" feels far too small, and far too quick to even remotely seem realistic. They could have infused the story with stock footage of world media coverage outside, but they didn't. Points off for that. Realism suffers, but not much of what happens in this Courtroom is expected or "normal" anyway. You don't have to like the subject matter to applaud the efforts of those who worked it. Whether you admire or appreciate this film is up to you. I felt it was thought-provoking and gripping, and I applaud the effort.

What is this extremely low level propaganda garbage that Hollywood is coming out with. The reality of this event ever taking place & it's courtroom scenes are a joke. There's literally more people in the jury box than in the actual courtroom judge & bailiff included. Secondly there's no investigation...yup shoot president spend one night in prison, eat fruit, go directly to trial. The acting is so bad I feel a high school play would be more entertaining. The main character in the film has some decent moments but the dialogue in general was bru-tal.. Another masterpiece by our friends in make believe lan.

Whether you are left or right, this movie is just brilliant. It is a high quality production but more importantly the two lead actors, Rico Reid and Josh Katawick, turn in strong, powerful performances. It may or may not refer to the Trump years, on that you will have to draw your own conclusions. Who is Amos Otis is both the title of the movie and the lingering question until the very end. Is Otis who he says he is and is he from where he claims to be? How that question is dealt with in the courtroom is the heart of the drama, If you have a chance to see this production, then watch it. You won't regret it.

First of all, I will undoubtedly be hated by the crowd who still believe the lies of a megalomaniac who has to control as much of his world as possible in seeking to become an absolute dictator of the world's most powerful country. So, let's get into the very clear parallel to one of this country's most danger and power hungry con man presidents...the entire movie is pretty much the trial of a man who admittedly planned and sucessfully killed the President of the United States. I found it a reminiscent of a couple of famous trials in our history. I thought it was well written, and, in my opinion brilliant. Very well acted by the entire cast. The racist remarks by one witness early in the trial was convincing evidence of how much it can equate to a particular man that we all know regardless of how you feel about him.

Superbly written and directed by Greg Newberry, this is a a very powerful film. Beautifully produced on a miniscule budget, the action takes place almost exclusively in the courtroom. What happens in that courtroom is dynamite. A debate as to whether it is morally right to assassinate a ruthless tyrant who threatens to destroy our republic is quite relevant indeed given what has occured during the 45th president's administration. The danger was and is real and this film confronts it fearlessly and powerfully. It doesn't flinch from presenting the details of the Trump nightmare and does so with breathtaking accuracy. The performances from a cast of virtually unknown actors are excellent with Josh Katawick and Rico Reid standouts. But it's the words that will hit home and which seem so real to anyone aware of what took place the in Trump era. A deus ex machina as presented in this film might have been the solution needed if the American people hadn't arisen politically and taken dramatic steps at the 2020 ballot box. Still, our republic came close to being a victim of an anti American fascist's coup.

This was one of the most disgusting movies I have ever watched! I really don't think this deserves any stars! The writer, director, and actor seem to hate my President! Although he was never mentioned the hatred for him was evident! The scecheming and lies done by the actor and attorney would of never be able to happen in the real world! He was an assassin in the real world or in the future! The prosecutor was right! Every question he asked this Mr Future lol had ridiculous answers! If the writers or directors knew. Yes the CIA killed President John F Kennedy. If there is interest do your research!!! If anyone should ask me about this movie I would absolutely 💯 tell them how I feel about it! The writer and director we know who they are referring to! What are they afraid of by not mentioning his name? Maybe a law suit! President Trump is still President just ask the military who is CIC? Why is there Marshall Law around the world as we speak! He is the best PRESIDENT this country has ever had! The wonderful things he has done especially in child trafficking and the Adrenechrome trafficking is unbelievable! Alot is in Hollywood have been executed for these reasons! WAKE UP BYDONE or Byden WEARS A MASK! AN ACTOR. Research! If anyone should be shot the 3 that have been mentioned involved in this so called movie! This movie definately wants to DIVIDE THE PEOPLE!!! WAKE UP SHEEPLE! DO YOUR RESEARCH! Or listen to your government and MSM!!! This is ridiculous about the minimum characters. I think I said enough and it was nice of me to even give you a review. I was protecting my President and his integrity and honor!!!🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲

Very well done courtroom drama. Excellent acting and story. It keeps you guessing, even after it's over. I find it amusing that several reviewers here have gotten totally unhinged thinking it's about a presidential candidate they worship as their Messiah. His name is never uttered in the movie and it's obviously a fictional character. Too funny!
