What Still Remains

Not a bad low-budget, apocalyptic tale, pretty good in fact. The cast gives genuine portrayals, the acting is very good, and the plot doesn't blatantly duplicate other works, adds just enough of a spin to keep your interest. The fact that What Still Remains gets it's point across without frenzied action sequences (which I am a fan of) and elaborate costumes is a plus. To all you naysayers: just because a film is reminiscent of or has similarities to another is not always a defect and doesn't automatically render the work as bad. Remember, imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. And though this film may have a similar scenario as others, it is not an imitation.

What Still Remains is a post-apocalyptic thriller that will captivate you from start to finish. The director uses his vision in conjunction with fantastic acting from the cast to tell the story. The film also has an excellent musical score to go along with it. While the movie does leave you with unanswered questions, it does have closure and yet opens the door for a sequel.

Great cast. Well written. I can't get that whistle out of my mind! It has the type of ending that keeps you wondering . . . .

The acting was ok , the pace was slow, it felt boring in many parts, unsatisfying obvious plot twist and (no zombies, WHY?).

Would have been better if they focused on more action, what are the infected looks like, and maybe a three way gore between all groups!

I have to agree with the review by "Laughing out loud". I watched this movie for its high ratings, which, I am now convinced, are fake. This movie feels more like a pilot episode for a TV series than an actual movie-theater movie (clan vs. clan with a heroine centerpiece - *sigh). If I had wanted to watch television, I would have watched television. I mean, even low-budget indie films will sometimes offer a gritty little worthwhile movie, and I was hoping for something close. But, honestly, you won't find it here. Don't waste your time.

What Still Remains is a amazing movie. The plotline was thrilling, interesting, dark and so much more. Colin O'Donoghue's portrayal of Peter was amazing, he's really a talented actor. Lulu Antariska as Anna and the other cast members were amazing too. Josh Mendoza did an amazing job directing this movie.

This movie is trash... religious propaganda disguised as a post-apocalyptic thriller. There is nothing thrilling about this 90 mins of drool. Crappy actors, crappy script piss-poor costumes on a budget. Actors wear make up...just waste of time. rating 1 to counter the religious zealots filling up with 10.
