It wasn't a terrible movie, but the last 2 minutes ruined it for me. I guess because I didn't get it. Was Kyle part of the plan? Is that why Jessica didn't answer the phone?

Don't you love when you can watch a movie and say, "I never saw it coming!" Well, I do. And thanks to the smart writing and talented cast, this movie delivers. I loved how it pulled us in and threw us for an entirely unexpected twist at the end. I was even surprised by how much I enjoyed Rumer Willis and Emma Dumont, having never seen them in anything before. Looking forward to seeing more of them. So give this a try. It's fun to watch.

Better than your average Hollywood block buster movies

My girlfriend and I watched What Lies Ahead the other night, and we were both very surprised and very pleased with the decision to view it. Rumer Willis plays a very clever and manipulative psycho (the worst kind!) who is giving her brother's new girlfriend, played by Emma DuMont, a ride to another state. But along the way....well....I don't want to give any spoilers....but we were surprised at every turn. And when this film "turns", it really turns, and more than once! My girlfriend usually "sees things coming" in films, and so do I, but this film did not disappoint us, and the ending is totally surprising. Rumer Willis is really going to be a major star soon if she keeps notching up roles like this. We give What Lies Ahead "Two Thumbs Up!", and will be watching it again.

First let me say how enjoyable this film was to watch. Let me also say, "I didn't see that coming". I thought it was a twisted story line with a lot of surprises. The characters were brought to life with great performances from both Emma Dumont and Rumer Willis. Considering that you are spending a fair amount of time in the car on this road trip thriller, the pacing and visuals are great.

Waste of time..bad movie...... no plot..jo actors .... nothing ...nothing

What lies ahead. What can I say about this suspenseful movie. It captured my attention from beginning to end. I loved all the twist and turns of the movie. I would definitely recommend it for everyone to watch.

This movie was well done. The two actresses were perfect! People watching this believe it's a regular movie with a car chase / things blowing up.... this is not that kind of movie. It's more personal...the writer did a great job.

I loved it!! I'm a big fan of thrillers, and this one didn't disappoint with its twist! I wasn't too familiar with the main characters before seeing this movie, but they're definitely on my radar now. Would recommend :-)
