I think if Emile was paid by the word he is the highest paid actor in Hollywood ever. And can we stop saying Zoe Kravitz is a good actress? She's not, she super attractive and exotic looking and most of her career is wearing a crop top and having her dreadlocks cover her face. Emory Cohen as 'JC' his brother, sucks all the air out of the room and literally cannot STFU. Also, this movie sux. You've seen it and all the stereotype characters in it a million times. I think the only thing that's missing is a redneck stripclub.

Vincent N Roxxy is one of those nihilistic slow burn violent crime dramas that is tailor made for Ryan Gosling. However Gosling was not available and the script is terrible. Vincent (Emile Hirsch) rescues Roxxy (Zoë Kravitz) when she is being attacked and he runs the man over. Roxxy is in trouble after her brother got killed and he owed some bad people a lot of money. Vincent invites her to hide out at her brother's farmhouse. Vincent is estranged from his screw up brother JC (Emory Cohen) since his mother's death. However both decide to start again and open up an auto workshop. However it is revealed that Vincent's and Roxxy's encounter was far from accidental. The film is lifeless and charmless with a dirge like brooding opening two acts of the movie. It only shows some adrenaline with the gory grindhouse violent scenes at the end.

At first you think your watching a kinda crappy b movie. And you'll be tempted to bail on it. But if you stick with it you'll start to enjoy these actors and the cool soundtrack. And eventually all the violence ramps up and ends in a kinda taxi driver inspired climax that I really liked So all in all totally not a 1star movie as some of these reviews would have you believe. It totally redeems itself towards the end and is well worth a watch.

Vincent (Emile Hirsch) runs into Roxxy (Zoë Kravitz) on a fender bender and saves her from an angry driver with a gun. The two of them have a past and opt not to report anything and take off in Vincent's car. Vincent offer's Roxxy a place to chill out on a remote farm, which she eventually accepts. However, their past catches up with them. Emile Hirsch was dull and dry in spite having a few action scenes. We know Roxxy is on the lam and her brother was killed, but not much more. Outside of a party, there was any one smiling, just a bunch of grim faces creating mid-action drama until the end when things come together. Most of the film was boring...you know bar fight, where were you when mama died type of stuff. Guide: F-word, sex, nudity (Zoë Kravitz)

Came across this movie on Netflix and it gave off a Bonnie and Clyde impression, which as it turns out is not at all the way it went. There's a scene where they discuss how they'd go about robbing a place, but that's as far as the Bonnie and Clyde vibe goes. The main characters' "meet cute" moment was a typical guy saves girl scenario where the guy is suddenly so inclined to offer the girl sanctuary from whatever it is that ails her. We find out more about her and you kind of realize pretty quickly how the two are going to be connected. Emile Hirsch and Zoe Kravitz are great actors on their own, but together they don't seem to mesh. Their relationship was not really believable and they don't seem to even see each other in their scenes. I thought maybe I'd missed something, because the plot felt so weak, but no, it really was just kind of a weak plot -- as if the writer/ director were like "ok we'll come back to this part and beef it up and make it better" -- but then they never really went back. The characters didn't really develop or change in any way; they were static and flat. I feel like Emory Cohen's character was supposed to be a comic relief, and while I think he is a great actor (the OA, Brooklyn) here, he was mostly just a token, and his girlfriend was a throwaway. Maybe you're supposed to care about them, maybe a little bit? But you don't. The real action seems to come up out of nowhere, which I suppose can be true of life because sometimes everything just blows up when you don't expect it...but it doesn't really work well here. Remember when I said the plot was weak and I felt like someone said they'd go back later to beef it up? I think they threw all the beef into the stew that is the finale. These scenes are pretty brutal and violent, and it's like where did this come from?? (Ron Burgundy is coming to mind ...that escalated quickly...) I'm not going to tell you how to live your life, so watch it if you want. It filled an hour and 40 minutes of my life, and will do the same for you. Don't expect anything great but also don't expect anything colossally terrible. This movie is basically your local grocery store's generic brand version of Drive.

I took a chance on the 10/10 reviewers today because I usually do if they are that mixed. This movie may not be for everyone but for me it was fantastic. This is my first review because I find it terrible that some people can post such awful reviews on movies simply because they didn't enjoy it. When people search IMDb for a movie and see these reviews it ruins a great movie for everyone watching and those who put a lot of hard work creating it. VnR is beautifully shot has great characters who feel real to me and has a slow burn leading to a good ending (in my opinion) that will leave you thinking long after. Congratulations to everyone involved, I will recommend this movie to all my friends. And to the one star reviewers I say this. You should be banned from reviewing movies. It makes me wonder how many other great movies I've missed because of you.

If you want to see a new take on an empowering film for women, go see Vincent and Roxxy. It's a fantastic story that will give you laughter, tears and a feeling of fulfillment when you leave the theater. Gary Schultz has brought a new approach to Hollywood and I can't wait to see what comes next.

Vincent N Roxxy is one of the best films that i have watched this year alongside Logan, Brimstone and Headshot. It is also without a doubt the best indie film that I've ever seen, high praise indeed. Emile Hirsch and Zoë Kravitz have great chemistry together and i agree with the other reviewer about Emory Cohen stealing every scene he's in. As the director Gary Michael Schultz said, this movie touches on a subject matter that sorely needs to be accurately portrayed in American cinema and it does so beautifully.

I was optimestic when I started this movie, I couldn't continue watching, I started forwarding till I assured its an awful movie. and felt too bad. Acting was below average, fight scene was too bad, characters,, sex, costumes, .. everything was like amateur works. especially when Vincent was back revenge after they kicked his brother, it was pathetic, they just watched him!! and all fell down from the first hit !! come on,, he was a little tiny boy, doesn't even looks strong or tough. the story was very shallow, however, it could be better. the end of the movie is not logic, Roxxy only lives while she tooks 2 gun shoots, while and she was the worst character in the movie. and how exactly Vincent died, I have no idea, is it that shoot in his shoulder!?
