Ok so the CGI isnt perfect. But it's not as bad as some people seem to think. While it's not my favourite film, I would watch it again.

I like Bruce Willis which is the only reason I watched this movie. This is anther terrible movie from him, appalling acting, appalling script. Do not waste your time with this.

THE BOMBING is another laughable slice of propaganda from mainland China, this time taking the form of a WW2 epic along the lines of PEARL HARBOR. It'll have you believe that the fledgling Chinese air force proved more than a match for their Japanese enemy, although of course anyone who knows history will know this is a very skewed and jingoistic view of the truth. The film is lengthy and dull, let down by cartoonish CGI effects used to depict the dogfights and an in-it-for-the-cheque Bruce Willis. Nicholas Tse, Simon Yam and Fan Bingbing are there for name value but have very little screen time, and overall this is tedious stuff.

I saw all the bad reviews and I just had to see it for myself. I've come to expect Bruce Willis movies to absolutely suck but adrien Brody why??? I mean why would you even put your name to this stupidity? You went from the Pianist to this???? I understand you need to make a living but Crikey man do some commercials or maybe even a sitcom. You need to fire your agent for getting you this gig... the graphics are so bad even Red Dead Redemption 2 blows it away. Its like some teen age kid whipped up the graphics down in his parents basement. Nicolas cage read the script... sat back, laughed, and said "I can't even be in this thing"... And you know what kind of crap Nicolas Cage is putting out these days.... if you love Stank movies, you won't be disappointed in this turd... What a hot mess from start To finish.

This is one of the poorest quality movies I've ever seen. Where the Chinese spent $65,000,000 in this mess defies credibility. Bruce Willis must be getting desperate to have his name attached to this incredibly bad movie. I've been hoping for years that somewhere along the line with all these war movies being made that the story of the 8 year long war the Chinese fought against a far better trained and better equipped Japanese military might be told but rest assured this is not it. The true history of this long war is full of bravery and challenge on the part of the Chinese as well as the US forces that fought alongside them. There is political intrigue that went on between Generals Stilwell, Chenault, Chiang Kai-Shek and FDR but none of that is given justice in this weak attempt at a story that appears to be written by kids and for kids. The CGI is comically poor which makes one wonder why with such a huge budget that the producers didn't bother using the real planes and equipment instead of this CGI that looks like the work of some real amateurs. The acting is weak as well. What else is there to say about this except do yourself a favor and skip it. You'll thank me for the tip later..

Is there even a "C" category for movies? After seeing the ratings and reading the reviews to date, curiosity got the best of me. I just had to see for myself how bad things could be. I was not disappointed. It should be rebranded as a self-deprecating, kitsch comedy. It succeeds at trying to be horrible. In that context, it is a classic.

It's 1943 China. The Chinese Nationalist Government has retreated to the city of Chongqing after the fall of Nanjing. The city is under constant bombing and protected by a few raw Chinese pilot recruits led by American military flyer Jack (Bruce Willis). This movie basically has four main groups. The movie should concentrate on the pilots group. The truck group could be an interesting movie of its own. The tea house group does nothing for most of the movie and seems more intent on being the man-on-the-street human story. The hospital group is unnecessary and only there for American actors Adrien Brody and Rumer Willis. The truck group could be an interesting Stagecoach like movie. It has the structure and one can fill it up with interesting characters. That part of the story could exist on its own. I wouldn't mind someone like Tarantino do something with it. The dialogue is a little clunky. In general, the story works even with the questionable MacGuffin. The main story is the pilots group. The CG looks ten years old. The air battles are chaotic and fail to show individual flyers. The Chinese characters are mostly non-descript. At least, Bruce is awake for this one but he's still doing some bad acting. Honestly, this is not unexpected but it is disappointing. There is so little thought to the writing that Jack doesn't even have a title. Only one guy has any memorable story after losing his brother. It's all an uninspiring mess.

Ohhh ... Chinese money... Hmmm... Nice & easy!! He (B.W) is known that he will take a part in ANY film if the price is ok. He acts the same... watering flowers, saving the planet, riding a plane... People have to understand ONE thing about him... He is a comedian! And one other thing, the level of pathetic in this ONE... wow! Some of THE most pathetic scenes I´ve ever seen! All the daughters and sons in law of the producers have done an excellent job!! To resume: Like everything from China, it looks nice from the outside, but it will tear apart in few days!
