One of the best inspirational movies out there. Don't listen to another review yhe actress and actors are each good in this . Amy Smart, the Tyson actor and the shoe store owner was awesome. I watched this with a 12 year old and 9 year old. My 12 year old did want to turn this off. I would have if given a chance payed to see this but it was on Pureflixs where we seen this. This had us laughing, crying, cheering and wanting to knock some noggin. You would think in this day and age people would know more. To see how many treated him and his parents was just awful. The ignorance is real people. The school if any of what happen really did really needed some real lessons.

This one had me cheering aloud. If your the type of person who cant connect with the part of yourself that contains empathy for those living life challenged by the hatred in this world this film isnt for you. On the other hand if your the type of person who cant resist a kind spirit that never stops Shinning despite the limitations of other peoples belief in them, this movie will refill the inspiration in the fuel tank of your soul. Beautiful performances all around & the lead played by the young man is exceptionally well played while remaining respectful of the disability he is protraying never creating a caricature of the role or the disability. The emotional depth of his acting & peronality are sweet & sensitive beyond his years.

I enjoyed watching Tyson's Run. It is one of those feel good type of movies that is based on a true story and will inspire many. I love the message of faith and courage. I loved that Tyson is the unlikely hero of the movie. It was beautiful how a few people who refused to judge him and helped him gain confidence, be accepted and have the determination to not quit. His story is so heartwarming that so many of us can relate to and so many others can learn from. I am giving Tyson's Run four and a half stars. I recommend it for families who are looking for a way to spend a family movie night. Wonderful story to watch over and over.

Glad to see a film that you can take the kids to, and they will learn something positive from it also. Only part unbelievable was when he was supossedly 1 mile behind with 3 miles to do and ran 2 4 mimute miles to catch leader.

The writers/director of this movie know little about autism or even marathon running. Poor writing and acting overall. The acting is wooden-sometimes I found myself laughing at the sheer ridiculousness of the dialogue. Autism is complex and this movie unfortunately portrays autism in a stereotypical fashion. The concept of the movie is fantastic-the makers could have done so much more with the challenges of running a marathon coupled with the realistic challenges of someone on the spectrum. Good intentions don't come remotely close to saving this movie.

Not sure why there's some haters out there.. this is a lovey film. It pushes all the right character / story buttons. The acting is good, it's nice to see the familiar faces and some new ones.

For some reason Fandango wasn't working when reserving seats for this so we booked from the theater. I write this in case you encounter same problem. Don't let it deter you from watching it. Amazing and inspiring flick and message!

. . . of brains that could be saved from multiple concussions, decay and ultimate ruin if all of America's football players quit the grid iron cold turkey, as Georgia's all-time leading winner coach does here, and take up marathon running instead. TYSON'S RUN documents how all the latter sport requires is a pair of sneakers and a few inspirational verses from the Good Book to rise from couch potato to world champ in a month or two. Some viewers may quibble that picturing a jogger tooling along at eight-minute mile pace at best while claiming that he's actually running sub-four minute miles at the very end of his teenage marathon debut is implausible, but just think back to football for a moment: If Green Bay's quarterback dude sees one wide receiver candidate run a four second something 40 at the all-important Combine, and a second potential Packer end can quote the Holy Scriptures and clock in with an eight-second plus 40, Rogers will say "Draft the church goer" every time.

The previews honestly played this out to be like it would be a big hit, but it fell short. The script is very robotic as if it were a high school musical, but without the music. I understand the character has autism, however, the rest of the script is simple, one or two worded lines, and honestly I was struggling to stay awake. It's a good story because it's true, but in a few weeks, I'll probably forget I even saw this movie, not to mention wanting to rewatch it at a later point in time.
