I came into this expecting more. Boy was I disappointed. Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock have great "cute-factor" between the two of them, but there just wasn't anything to sink your teeth into this one. Yes, I know it is a romantic-comedy and they don't usually have that much depth. But at least give us something. The dialogue was weak and the humorous moments were not very frequent. Grant's character is a nauseating, spineless and spoiled rich kid. Bullock's character has some more redeeming qualities, but ultimately the movie left me not caring much one way or the other. The movie gave the impression that the whole thing was probably written in a matter of days - it seemed that poorly constructed. But the movie isn't a total waste, solely for the fact of Grant's and Bullock's cuteness. But that can only carry a movie so far. It seems the writer/director Marc Lawrence relied too heavily on this and was lazy in delivering anything substantially romantic or comedic.

This film is a romantic comedy with Sandra Bullock as a lawyer who goes to work for philandering Hugh Grant and they fight and argue and of course fall in love. A pretty predictibe film that is enlivened only by the energy of the two stars. It's a fun enough vieweing but there isny any depth here. GRADE: C+

This film is really bad. I understand that the star, Sandra Bullock, was its producer. No matter, it still stinks. This film has the look and feel (not to mention sound) of a classroom project of a first year film student. In fact, it has all the earmarks of a first year film student who will not likely prosper in the industry. If I had to describe the film in the shortest terms possible, I would state that Sandra Bullock acts off Hugh Grants British accent. The work is strained and far too long. It would have been better suited to being presented as an hour long television episode - with commercials. What a waste of time, film and the talents of two otherwise talented actors.

Talk about typecasting; both Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant have both fallen into a very tight characterization box. Hugh's always the Brit good ol' boy, a wealthy, witty, ne'er-do-well, usually big-hearted but sometimes a cad. Sandra's the girl-next-door; beautiful, but not aware of the beauty; caring, sensitive, and a little goofy. This has worked well in the past for both of them, but it's wearing a little thin. Actually in "Two Week's Notice" it's wearing a lot thin. I don't need, nor want to get into the plot. It's irrelevant, and if you can't figure the whole thing out within fifteen minutes; you must have fallen asleep. The movie's other characters are as two-dimensional and predictable as Hugh and Sandra. This movie has 'been there, done that' stamped across it in bold letters. It's a waste of money, even for a rental.

I am kind of tired of Hugh Grant's typical character. I saw this movie on New Year's Day and it was ok. I mean, the predictability was so obvious. It was a story of two people who have many differences and argue all the time. By the end of the movie, the two fall in love. The good thing about this movie was the beautiful Sandra B. She seldom fails to deliver the goods (except in 28 days which sucked). Robert Klein plays her father but he doesn't really have any funny lines in the movie. They say this is the perfect date movie. I guess I agree because the chances of a girl liking this movie are extremely high. The only reason I would suggest seeing this is for a date. Otherwise, skip it and rent WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING.

This movie is about a multi millionaire, Hugh Grant and his efficient attorney, Sandra Bullock. The movie stands on the charm and charisma of both these two actors. It completely rest on them. The moment these two meet, you exactly know what the movie has to offer. You must have seen so many rom coms like this. Still you are glued. You want both of them to fall in love. You want the movie to go on forever. The charm to continue. This movie is like a good afternoon siesta, you know it will end. Yet you want more of it. It leaves you with a smile and you feel refreshed to take over the evening. Watch it for the charming ride it will take you for. And if you are a woman, it's Hugh Grant all the way. Atleast it was for me.

Here's my feel-good, romance-comedy! :-) I had so many laughs, and it's understandable considering Hugh Grant stars in the movie, he's totally perfect for the "careless spender millionaire" role, and Sandra Bullock is amazing in her role "the perfect and idealized lawyer, not interested in the money, but in the community good"; they are the complete opposites, but they manage to create a "symbiosis" - and at one point even change themselves, in order to become a better version of themselves. Not surprisingly, it seems that in all the good love stories, people have to change - love introduces them to a better way of living. Not surprisingly I said, but I should've think twice before I've said it.

Now is the time for Bullock and especially Grant to appear in something really gory. Their careers are getting unbearable parodic. They make a lot of money making these kind of movies, but do they need it? The money I mean. From minute to next minute you can foretell what's going to happen here. The only new thing is Bullock playing a slightly radical advocate, who cares for old New York-buildings. Grant is rich and stupid and even richer but not that stupid is his slightly evil brother. You don't have to see this. You know the film in detail without having watched.
