Even an old fart like me couldn't help falling in love with a young couple trapped in an apartment during a massive snow storm. The idea was fresh and the chemistry between the leads Analeigh Tipton and Miles Teller, whose becoming an old pro in his 20s, was terrific. I find it mind numbing that this cute little rom/com wasn't promoted and given a larger screening. There are so many bad major films that don't come near the humor and honesty portrayed in Two Night Stand. Tipton is particular gives a fun performance and as attractive as she looks. I hope she enjoys the success that Teller gained from films such as the Spectacular Now and Whiplash.

Two Night Stand(2014) Starring: Miles Teller, Analeigh Tipton, Jessica Szohr, Leven Rambin, Scott Mescudi, Kellyn Lindsay, Michael Showalter, Berto Colon, Brian Petsos, Josh Salatin, Chris Conroy, Victor Cruz, David Weiss, and Mike Lubik Directed By: Max Nicholas Review BEFORE LOVE. AFTER SEX Hello Kiddies your pal the Cupid critic here, with an interesting one night tale. You ever thought about having a one night stand twice. No, good it makes for a crappy movie. The film is about a chick who's hung up and hasn't done anything exciting because she sees her EX everywhere she go's with her friends and tries online dating. She hooks up with a guy, has sex, intends to leave cause she hates him but she can't cause of the snow and well they bond and you know the rest. I don't what goal this movie tried to achieve because its a very silly and stupid romance. They do have chemistry and I like the main leads, not the supporting cast. But have the time their just doing stupid stuff and plunging a toilet for thirty minutes. it would not seem interesting to any person who enjoys the genre of romance because it doesn't feel like a romance, I mean its not like a Nic Sparks movie where their fighting to be with each other, no it's just them talking and having sex and I don't care for the characters at all. There's no point, no talk of love or anything and its just a horrible silly attempt at a romantic comedy. The film doesn't come together all that well, I'm giving Two Night Stand one heart out of five.

I had a look at this because I am fond of Analeigh Tipton and Miles Tiller from a lot of their previous work, and it looked like a cute romantic comedy. Not a lot of laughs, more awkward conversations about what each likes in bed took up the majority of the movie. The big secret of him having a girlfriend was very cliché, and got very weird when he got her put in jail. I had a hard time understanding how anyone who's not insane would think that was a good idea. And at the end they had not improved their situations, both were suddenly homeless and she was still unemployed but, oh goody- they have each other. Kinda one step forward two steps back. There were a few cute moments in it but I was bored throughout. Nothing I haven't seen before in more charismatic rom coms.

On Christmas, jobless, penny-less, guy-less Megan tries to ease out her stress by looking for a quick one night stand online. She gets what looks like her fit in Alec, but it turns out to be not such as memorable. Yet as she turns to leave the next morning, they find that they're stuck in the building alone due to heavy snowing. Alec gets the initiative to get them interact better by asking Megan to pretend that they didn't have sex the other night. The two get to know each other better, and soon the conversation changes to reviewing their intercourse experience last night. They end up giving each other pointers so they'd be better for their own future couple. When boredom strikes, they resort to some extremes, breaking into a neighbor's apartment. Soon they end up practicing their own recipes. They find that not just their theories are right and they feel better doing it, they themselves grow more fond of each other. The bummer comes when accidentally Megan discovers that currently Alec has already has a girlfriend. As the snow clears a bit, Megan goes carrying a disappointment. Megan's roommate Faiza asks her politely to move out; which Megan doesn't mind since without a job she's being a liability. Alec realizes that his perfect someone is not his current girlfriend and reconciles it with her; which he gets away with smoothly. Having a hard time finding Megan, Alec goes to the cops about the the neighbor's apartment, putting Megan in jail. Megan refuses Alec's bail, to the confusion of the cops. But she's freed as Faiza bails her. Alec storms in and does the make up speech. After at first she refused, Megan finally accepts Alec's offer to start dating, though they both now don't have anywhere to go. Opening the movie with the scenes of the main conflict build up, circling back to character and background build up then continuing the main conflict surprise, the movie makes quite a nice effort in back and forth story flow to emphasize the significance of the main theme. But since the story confines the main characters to a closed environment, it doesn't leave any room for any unpredictable story development. The major bad thing about this is that the movie feels overly romantic that the comedies don't feel funny. The screenplay just doesn't seem to develop or build up any thing that can really crack a laugh. There's virtually no practical joke or slapstick anywhere in this movie. This makes the romance, already quite a well developed part, stand out even more. Actually the romance parts feel more dominant that it kind of make the comedy part feels like it's just some kind of color variation to the story. Analeigh Tipton doesn't quite get her role to be funny. It's quite bad that it's kind of her first at lead roles. Miles Teller is quite good here, although I think his That Awkwar Moment (2014) performance is way better than this one. Well, seeing these performances' quality, I think it's quite normal due to the movie being director Max Nichols' first directing job also. I kind of agree with the popular verdict of a 6 out of 10 score for this one. A recommendation is a solid no, even though it's anther Miles Teller flick. It does kind of entertain as it has quite a nice romance story, but the comedy is kind of lame.

Analeigh Tipton, Miles Tiller and a crackling script help elevate this 90 minuter. Analeigh Tipton is just delicious to look at and Miles Miller comes across as a thoroughly nice chap. There's nothing original or new to see here and some of the plot turns are a bit contrived. But nonetheless it works. The movie doesn't have the gravitas of Notting Hill, or the 'touchy feely' dreck of Music and Lyrics. It's a small town date movie for small town folk. The peripheral characters supporting the two leads are almost invisible and are barely worth mentioning.... apart from Samuel Ray Gates who plays a cop. (Why isn't this guy more famous?) It doesn't get deep or heavy, there's not too much gloom when things go wrong... it's a fluffy teen flick that this 55 year old male enjoyed. If you get drained by the overly emotional garbage that usually accompanies American 'romcom' type movies, this one will surprise you in a good way.

I just created an account purely for the purpose of trashing this movie. I am so angry and feel like someone should reimburse me for the time that i even spent watching it. I didn't even have high standards going in..... I mean the title is "Two Night Stand", thats a terrible title, who thought that was a good idea. My expectations were so low and somehow this still managed to disappoint me. I only watched it because Miles Teller was decent in Wiplash but jesus christ I cant believe the stupidity of this male lead. What a crazy a** perverted ignorant character. My pet mouse could write a better plot. The movie would have been better if his girlfriend turned out to be dead honestly...still wouldn't have been good but at least then you could have a sliver of sympathy or like feel something other than brain cells dying. I hated this movie.
