When the three Perry sisters, Elizabeth, Lydia, and Mary, inherit a New York City townhouse from their Jane Austen-loving parents, the race is on to find a wealthy tenant to rent their garden apartment to cover their mortgage, taxes, and repairs to avoid losing their home and being forced to move to cheaper digs in New Jersey. Could arrogant real estate mogul George Barrow, a Darcyesque bachelor with no pets or kids, be Elizabeth's prince charming who saves the day or is his courtship just a ploy to put her townhouse into contract and turn the West Village into a hedgefunder Disneyland? Will Liz be tempted by bad boy handyman Tommy Leroy who looks so hot in a pair of skinny jeans or will she fall prey to married mortgage broker Sal Carmine who wants to get his hands in her pants? And what about Lydia, the scorching hot personal trainer, and Mary, the shy, reserved blogger who rarely leaves her house?

I can only assume all the resoundingly positive reviews are by friends and family of the filmmakers. The acting is remarkable. The script is incredible. And I mean that in the worst possible way. It's an interesting concept: a modern take on Pride and Prejudice. However it falls down on so many levels. I'd totally recommend watching Pride and Prejudice (2005) instead. The only decent thing in it is Tommy, who is funny and actually a great actor, comparatively. I watch a lot of films, and this is truly one of the worst I've ever seen. Watch for the lady fainting at the presentation. Oscar-worthy.

I checked this movie out from the library because it looked like a cute little rom-com (even if not super high quality). Unfortunately I had to stop watching about 15 minutes in. The acting seemed forced and the dialogue sounded forced and unnatural. Even the microphones were low-quality and muffled some of the actors' lines. 15 minutes was more than enough time spent on this movie. Honestly, the best part was the music. It did a great job of cueing the audience to feel a certain way about each character as they were introduced. If you're looking for a cookie cutter movie to have on as you're doing something, this probably isn't the worst choice. Just not a great way to spend an hour and a half.

Townhouse Confidential is simply wonderful! Very fun and festive, quick moving and witty. Set in New York City, it's a modern take on a classic novel. The characters are great! I found myself rooting for them to have it all - and eventually ... well, no spoilers here. The dialog is clever and spot on. If you like the architecture of the West Village in New York, you will certainly appreciate this film that much more. It looks to be shot in some of the best townhouses in the Village, complete with great style, interiors and furnishings. Townhouse Confidential is an easy pick as a 10 Star film! Enjoy!!

Was this the most groundbreaking piece of film created? No, But did it take itself too seriously? Also no. Great movie to put on during a girls night. Acting was light and fun, the main character Sam Simone was phenomenal as a modern day Liz!! Production Design worked really well, I'm sure it was a tough area of town to shoot in. IDK I'm a sucker for modern adaptations of classic tales and I'm glad this one wasn't trying to SAY anything too much; just using that structure and pumping up the rom com aspects, you know? Now how am I gonna afford one of those houses that they were living in...

Townhouse Confidential is a fun, well written and entertaining movie!! It is an absolute delight plus the "easter eggs" with nods to other classic movies make this enjoyable movie that much more enjoyable. The dialogue, the acting, the on location sets in the West Village of NYC contribute to a very fun experience. The characters are well developed, with the actors and actresses really leaning into their roles. The twists and turns along the way make sure to keep the audience guessing as to what will happen next and how will it all turn out. It's a great rom com to enjoy all year round and especially on Valentine's Day! Once you watch Townhouse Confidential you will want to watch it again and again.

Townhouse Confidential offers a modern, theatrical reimagining of Pride and Prejudice that's worth the watch. Sam Simone is charming and genuine. Her flirty banter and relatable quirkiness will keep you captivated. Lee Tyler definitely embodies the awkward stubbornness of Darcy. The inevitable collision of these two is everything Jane Austen would have hoped for, and along the way, you'll be delighted by the surprisingly-endearing subplots. Townhouse Confidential delivers on both romance and comedy, but honestly, I can't wait to see Sam Simone take on new genres as she and the rest of the cast are sure to do.

This movie took the framework of Jane Austen's classic tale Pride and Prejudice and translated it into the modern warfare that is NYC's dating and real estate game. I liked the fresh perspective this script took on the classic. It's always fun to see new translations on classics. The script could've been stronger, but it's the perfect fit for an indie rom-com. The actors all did a great job, but Samantha Simone especially killed it as Liz Perry. This movie gives "throw on your pjs, drink a bottle of red wine, and decorate some cupcakes with your besties" movie night energy. Fun side note - I loved figuring out which Greenwich Village streets all the characters were named after!

This movie was amazing and such a joy to watch. Great direction and eye-popping cinematography it was shot in New York's trendy West Village ! Full of laughs and very interesting. The story draws you in and you want to know what happens next it keeps you wanting more and more and i wasn't disappointed I stayed interested till the end. Great ending. You will love it. Funny Funny Funny. I look forward to seeing a sequel or a tv show about this. The characters are so fabulous written and they are so hilarious Townhouse Confidential is the perfect rom com to watch this Valentine's Day!!! Great love story !!!
