I love frat/party movies like this. But sadly it seem to be a dying genre. There was a boom a few years ago with many movies but i taught i seen them all and new ones were not made. Then i saw this ... on Netflix from all places !
Usually i try to watch mostly movies in my native french (dubbed) as i ain't a fan of watching movies in Original English especially if i know they been dubbed but i make exeptions for Martial Arts and crazy comedies like those as they are unlikely to be dubbed (sometimes im lucky to find a version from France, but in Quebec they are not)
Anyway long story short i watched it and i really liked it. Its extremely over the top and also very unrealistic but thats the way i like those crazy juvenile comedies. The likes of American Pie Beta House, 21 and Over and others like that.
It really follow a formula i seen before, so this ain't extremely original but its done well enough to satisfy me. Like i said i really like those frat movies even if often they gravitate around the same thing. I never been to university or such, and even tough i know it ain't as crazy as in the movies, i wish i could had experience frats and those parties myself, wich sadly will never be the case.
So i find escapisim in those and that movie did the job well. I saw at the end it was actually a crowd funded movie, wich is pretty cool.
This was release in 2016, i dunno how it avoid my knowledge since then, but really cmon studios, time to bring back those kind of comedies as im seriously craving more !!

At first I was a bit sceptical about this film but its a good film with some really funny scenes. Its refreshing to have a film about college that has some funny new concepts unlike any other films about student life.

Listen...This is really low budget. So just set all of that aside and get ready for a really fun ride. If you start critiquing every little thing, then you will hate this movie. However, if you are like me and just want to have fun, then look past all of the mistakes and enjoy it for what it is!
I smiled and had such a great time with this movie! Love it!

Charlie Martin, from a long line of frat leaders, is overjoyed as a new pledge to Alpha house. During his first party, he launches fireworks that cause major damage. College dean Kravitz (Tom Green) revokes their charter. Three years later, rival frat Kappa Nu tries to take their house. Charlie has to get the frat reinstated with his two mates to stop the takeover by challenging rival leader AJ to a duel. They win the duel but need 12 more members in a week to get reinstated.
This is very much a standard boobies frat movie. There are lots of * and that includes the idiot guys. Actually, the guys are not irredeemable. Most of the college kids are functional and forgettable. Tom Green gets a small role and completely Tom Greens it. He's ridiculous and no longer that funny. This is not the worst of this kind of movie but I can't give this a pass.

I have seen this movie so many times now I've lost count. This kind of film makes me wanna open up my own frat in the UK (sucks that we don't have them in the UK). I recently watched Frat Star, another Frat movie from the Gravitas Ventures company, and I'm happy to say they've been perfecting their frat movies.
The film focuses around three friends, Charlie, Billy and "Douche" who, before even spending one day as new fraternity members, cause their fraternity Alpha Xi Gamma to be closed down due to an accidental fire at the celebration. A few years later, through a loophole in the system, they are able to re-instate their fraternity as long as they can find twelve new pledges before the end of Rush Week, all the while fighting back against their ancient rival fraternity, Kappa Nu. Now yes, if you've seen this film, it does have toilet humour, it does have some cheap gags, and there are still scenes in this movie I skip when I watch it.
This movie also has the typical liar reveal in it, and it annoyed me the first time I saw it, but as I kept watching it again, it blended into the plot and I don't mind it anymore. I grew to care about the characters and I want to see them succeed. A lot of the side character will also make you laugh. It's also nice having Tom Green as the Dean of the university, 'Dean Kravitz'. The second Alpha Xi party we get later on is one of the best college parties I've seen in both a Frat movie, and a college movie.
The one BIG negative of the movie is definitely around two thirds through when the main character Charlie gets drugged and raped in order for Kappa Nu to bring down the fraternity again; not defensible at all and this needs to stop in comedy movies, and asking for that needs to stop being viewed as some "buzzkill" type thing by these 'comedy geniuses'. Joking about it is one thing; portraying it onscreen is another.
Overall, If you want a film that sets itself apart from a typical frat movie, this one will definitely stay in your head for a while. I'm giving it a 6 out of 10.

Everything from the bad voiceover to the amateur acting derails this train from the opening scene. Most people wont notice the bad sound quality and second rate cinematography but it is terrible. Why does Netflix subject us to this garbage???

There is no context to glorify rape of unconscious victims; particularly that of a comedy film.
Thumbs so far down they're under the table snapping this disc for being approved of and printed by hollywood.

A fraternity has some celebration fireworks accidentally set fire to their house resulting in the dean kicking them out. A year later one of the pledges tries to get them reinstated, but then has only five days to find 15 candidates. Constant sabotages from a rival fraternity doesn't help as they both compete for the same house. Of course all this happens in between lots of sex and parties.
This was a funny one, probably a step up from a National Lampoon offering. Tom Green was funny as the dean in which he plays his usual whacked out self.
There is no life changing moments in this one but just a simple shut your mind off and have a laugh, kind of film.
