Tonic Film

This movie has literally shaken me. Not only the acting of the actors but also the cinematography was simply brilliant. Also the flim conveys a message for our MODERN society. Overall a film worth watching. Anticipating more Bengali films like 'Tonic'.

Many including me thought this film would be similar to any Nandita-Shiboprasad film considering the story revolves around an old couple and their issues in life. Well, it's not! TONIC is actually a much more entertaining and humorous version of a Shiboprasad film. As young kids, adults often have too much authority on us at times not able to understand that we too need some freedom but can't get it as parents fear something bad could happen. Exactly the same happen when we as grown ups take care of our old parents. We fear to let them do anything fancy as it may cause trouble to their health but then often our old parents would also like to do something fancy in their old age hence the conflict arises. Paran da's character story is exactly this. An old parent who wants grand celebrations of his anniversary, do something fancy but his over-caring children won't let that happen. Hence comes in their life secretly a man named Tonic played by Dev who helps the old parents enjoy the fullest with fancy activities to make their anniversary special. Just the chemistry and dialogues between Dev and Paran is so entertaining that it makes the film more electrifying . What I love about Bengali films more than Bollywood films is, they try to make use of daily day to day life humorous conversations between common Bengalis as their dialogues in film with little bit of innovation to give it an extra humorous touch and it works 100% perfectly. Audience are able to connect themselves when they hear such dialogues. This is why the film scores extra brownie points . Absolutely no vulgarity, no nudity full family package for you, your parents grandparents to sit in front of TV (will come to Zee Bangla soon) on a Sunday and have a wholesome family entertainment. Although I would say this film is not as deep like Shiboprasad films, it is made during a perfect time, the pandemic when audience needs positivity and this film is the one for you!!!

Great acting,good comic timings and !! No fancy songs and didn't realise the movie has come to the end. Must watch. Dev is becoming a matured actor now.

Such a pure hearted,honest and beautiful movie full of candid moments - funny, sweet and emotional. Beautiful story. Kudos to you Paran Dadu !! Wonderful performances by everyone. More power to you Dev and team - Up and upwards :)

One of the most heart touching movies of 2021 while Hindi films this year were good but ,this film was just fantastic . It gives us the confidence to see all kinds of films as "Indian films " and not Hindi Bengali or Tamil Telugu Malayalam or Punjabi Marathi . A very amazing theatre experience after years. And paran bandopadhyay such a gem <3 he steals the show and the woman who played his wife was great,and dev was nice as well . Paran bandopadhyay deserves a national award this year .

The story and screenplay of Tonic Movie are very bad. There is nothing entertaining about the movie. I don't know why actor Dev acted in this movie. The music and the scenes inside the movie are not so interesting that this movie is a must see. Totally crappy movie.

The storyline of this movie is just amazing and the acting is just superb. The concept of this movie is really much inspiring us a lot. Overall very good movie with an amazing story and acting.

The storyline will just spread hatred & misunderstanding between two generations of family members. Acting of all artists is over the top. Cinematography is good. But only some videos of natural beauty is not called a good movie. The emotional scenes doesn't touches our soul. Some scenes remind us about Star Jalsa's Bengali serials which. I think in recent time this is the most overhyped bengali movie. Some people remarks it as masterpiece but I am confused about their conception of masterpiece. This film will not take place in the all time great bengali movies. Nachiketa's song is ear soothing.

Every character suffered with overacting. Too much over-hyped movie. Illogical and unrealistic story. Paran banerjee is irritating. Till date Dev's performance and pronounciation not up to the mark.

Nice film...I have already seen 2times...will suggest all to go & watch this film...comedy,emotion & every feelings were present & the film was much relatable...beautiful story, excellent script writing, fantastic songs...great acting of all the actors & everything was perfect. One of the best films I hv ever seen , perfect film for all ages ..❤❤❤❤...No Panic Only Tonic.
