The attempts from the director to make Harvey interact with the viewers make this movie long and boring .
Characters are not likeable. After 15 minutes you just want to make it stop and take your money and time back.

I liked (a lot) how the creators of Tone-Deaf tried to bend some of the rules of cinema. They break the fourth wall on a few occasions and make some bold narratorial decisions. I also liked the antagonism between Baby Boomers and Millennials and how this encapsualted the impotent rage between the generations. In terms of horror, there we some very creepy moments, some BANGS but it wasn't that scary.
All in all, an enjoyable indie-flick, better than US but worse than Get Out.

This film start with a young pianist playing piano, a man helping a woman changing clothes, a grown up pianist "Olive" fire by her boss and she rent a house from a man "Harvey" scene! As turnout, this film is a killing story of a psychopath "Harvey", who also is a millennial hater! Entire film full of mockery scene of Harvey! Super annoying! Harvey keep hallucinate in the film also make audience asleep! Only two killing scene show in detail! First one, Harvey killing an old woman on a bed by stabbing her! Second one, Harvey kill a homeless guy by hitting his head! Barely laughable scene is, at the end, Olive's mother calling 911, and she saying she won't stay on the line, because she will get cancer! At the end, Harvey using an ax to kill a male friend of Olive, her mother arrive and shot Harvey to death! That's it! Completely wasting time to watch!

This...is NOT high art. But it's fun. Robert Patrick really made this movie for me, breaking the 4th wall about Millenials. I'm sure if I really studied this as a metaphor I'd find something to be offended about. Since I see it as great cinema I'm not going to narrow the view on it. Great movie.

I stumbled upon this by accident. Expected some run of the mill modern day horror but was pleasantly surprised.
I feel I shouldn't say what I enjoyed and didn't enjoy. I realise this isn't helpful but you should just watch it and decide yourself.

Obviously millennials are not too impressed at the way they are represented in this movie - which is spot on.
This is a tongue-in-cheek kind of movie not to be taken too seriously.
I found it great to watch - although perhaps I am of a certain age to appreciate the irony.
The acting and production - as well as the story - are well done and something different from the usual vacuous horror/comedy designed to appeal to the lowest common denominator.

A girl loses a job, her friend n mom advises her to go outta the city.
She rents a country house from a widower who is on the verge of insanity.
The widower (Robert Patrick) is suffering from dementia but is able to observe things like a detective n get away clean after committing murders.
Our lead girl sleeps with the door open, she gets her toes hit by a tomahawk n she steps on a wooden plank with nails but is healthy chatting n arguing with the attacker even after losing few teeth.
The film has some nice dry n bright locations, the acting is good, some violent scenes n a good spider scene.
Ther was no need to create suspense when the guy gets out from the car to help fix the tire.

Boring...Boring...Boring except for the parts that Robert Patrick was in...Amanda Crew looked like she never acted in a movie before...And Baby Boomers will not like what she says at the ending...Little bit of gore but not scary at all...
It's a big discredit to all of the Millennials that actually think they can act and then find truthful reviews like mine that put them in their place.
Robert Patrick is a very good actor and showed that in the Terminator 2 almost stealing the movie from Arnold Schwarzenegger.
And Ray Wise a credited actor was very good when his character was shown.
But some career advice for Amanda Crew & Hayley Marie Norman..I hear they're hiring at McDonald's.
Don't waste your time on this movie..all the good reviews were probably from Amanda's family.
