I thought it would be a nice movie as it offered plea you of potential.
Instead of showing the history the scenery and the connection with today we see two middle age people eating in restaurants and making stupid jokes when being in archeological spaces.
Waste of time

If you love understated filmmaking whose whole is more than the sum of its parts you will adore The Trip film series that sadly apparently has come to an end with The Trip to Greece. Coogan and Brydon allow themselves to be men/children and give themselves to their weightless senseless and infantile spontaneous humor while having delicious courses of meals (the director always jumps to the actual kitchen what allow us for for breathing and a break from the small boys jokes at the dinning table ) There is also love and sex for the boys. How could that be missing within the confines of specially Italy, Spain and Greece. Still, since the first The Trip set in England you can sense the underlying sense of existential despair and fragility of its main two characters and thereby of every living creature. The movies actually end up been much more than the sum of its parts. And still lots of laughs!!. They will become classics.

Was hoping to be able to see some beautiful shots of Greece scenery but all I got was 1hr 40min of two men trying to be funny. There was moments of humour but I was largely bored throughout. The family phone calls and 'random' guests felt very non-organic.

The two characters talk way too much. The impersonations aren't funny either. At least this time there is a thin plot that doesn't involve them babbling away.

They think so highly about themselves...
They're not funny at all, boring conversations...
The movie has nothing
It was like hearing two old strangers conversation in a restaurant, not pleasing
Very bad movie! Please, stop already!

I have not yet seen The Trip, but The Trip To Italy was very good. Trip To Spain, not as good, but still pretty decent. I did not get a great feeling about The Trip To Greece. The problem seemed to be Steve Coogan. He seemed rather irritated, like he did not really want to be there. It came across in the film. The jokes that worked in the other previous films seemed to be getting a little old and stale. Imitation of the same celebrities. The movie did seem to get better towards the middle. Finally, Brydon and Coogan seemed to click. The ending was rather sad and confusing. I could not tell whether this was real life or not. Did Steve Coogan's father pass away during the film? Did they rehearse and choreograph this sad event? I was not sure. All in all it was an okay film, but nowhere as good as the previous films.

I've visited this pseudo-world of Rob and Steve's over the last 10 years and feel comfortable here, although there is always the sneaking suspicion that the classic "sadness behind the humour" of classic British comedy is lurking in the background, waiting to pounce.
This is a comedy, to be sure, but it is also so much more - a pleasant surprise, as always, that something so amusing and trivial on its surface, leaves you with a deep feeling reflectiveness and odd something shared as it ends.
Wonderfully put together, awesome soundtrack; I really don't want this to be my last visit, I want to pop into their lives again and again for a quick catchup.
