Fast paced direct to the point spoof. *SPOILERS* Love the opening scene spoofing psycho, and the pile of bodies caused by the shooting in front of the bank. I didn't know Billy Zane could do comedy, and he did it very well. Larry Storch is good, his character is not that needed but still delivers. Yes this is more of a spoof of PSYCHO with many sexual jokes, and the basic but effective literal jokes. Europeans can also make good spoofs, even that some of them are very "Wayans" style. Silly movie that will surely entertain you. 6/10.

This is the worst spoof, no worst film I have ever seen. Now I can enjoy a spoof as much as the next man, Airplane, Top Secret, Spaceballs Hot Shots & Blazing Saddles rank up as some of my favourite films. But this, this! This piece is garbage is not a spoof, well okay maybe it is meant to be but it's just totally un-funny! All the gags can be seen coming down the motorway towards you from a thousand miles away! None of the jokes even raised a smirk. Please, your lifetime is too short to waste it watching this movie. In fact don't even read this review stop now! In fact I'm wasting my own time reviewing this when I could reviewing good films! AGHHHH, I'm outta here!!!!!!!

I found this film to be very similar to a monty python movie. Lots of slapstick, and a gag every 3 second movie. To understand this, you have to see "psycho" , and "silence of the lambs". Story- About Dr. animal a completely fat crazy nut, that helps detective Jo Dee Fostar find a criminal that kills people in showers. This is not to watch alone, but to watch with some friends late at night. Youll be laughing like crazy. I give this 8 out of 10. Rated R for Strong Language and Sexual Situations. (but no nudity or violence).

"Il silenzio dei prosciutti" is mocking "The Silence of the Lambs", imitating basic plot elements and mixing in some other genre classics. The film is a firework of slapstick gags, Some hit, most miss and all in all this creates an unwatchable mess. There are undoubtedly elements in those film classics that can be absolutely rightfully made fun of but the major reason this film exists is that there was no possibility to make a twenty minute online video back in the days. I can imagine that some viewers will actually have great fun however I'm unfortunately not one of them. All in all you have to have low standards when it comes to humor and plot if you really want to enjoy this. I respect some of the humor but then again it's not so hard to have some nice ones under dozens.

An unbelievably lame attempt at a parody flick,with all the obligatory sight gags,except here they are completely lame-brained and usually have nothing much to do with anything,and most of the verbal gags are just plain desperate for laughs,like when a woman enters a room dressed completely in red and the narrator(putting on an extremely irratating french accent)calls her "the woman in blue".Hilarious.The rest of the jokes pretty much follow that form,simply changing key words in things and they are all completely stupid.Also,the usually fantastic Billy Zane is no comedy actor,and looks very uncomfortable here.A thoughrouly boring movie.Parody flicks are among the cleverest comedies ever made and if you want a good one,try Spy Hard,Naked Gun or Airplane but definatly not this!

I rented this movie hearing that it was really funny. And it was. It was like airplane, full of stupid comedy. Which is what i enjoy watching. My favorite line in the whole play is when Dom Deluise is asking JO DEE Foster about the ham. Another great part is Martin Balsam when he makes his way into old house just like he did in Psycho. Then he says as he opens the door 'I think i've done this before.' Hilarious, its kind of like Mel Brooks 'High Anxiety.' Only better. GO and rent it.

Silence Of The Hams was brilliant. You know, I hate it when people try to analyze the movie, and try to pick out all the politically incorrect phrases and actions. SHUT... UP !!! And some people are saying "Uhh, it's not as good as Loaded Weapon 1". SO... WHAT !!! Does that mean that I have to like it less now ? Umm... No. This movie had so many clever and stupid jokes in it. It parodied several hit movies and I think this movie deserves more credit than it's getting. I mean, come on, how many movies do you know have a migit with an extendable arm, and Pavaroti ? Hmm ? Rent this movie now. I give this movie a 10 !!!

I really enjoyed this movie! it never takes a pause you just get pumped with absurd humor all the time through. Anyway many people dislike it very much, and i can understand them, this is not a movie for the average people. The humor is very special och sick! :) So if you like unique and odd movies you should see it now!! and if you dont think you'll like it, see it anyway but be sure to stay up all night and turn it on, well sometime around 5:30 in the morning =) Great film!

Yes, this movie is like Naked Gun and Airplane. It was a good movie, not great good. If you like just plain silly, laugh a minute (or in this movie, like every second line. I don' think there was a serious part in the movie) than give this one a shot. Not a masterpiece of the genre, but just for fun
