I came across this movie while searching Amazon Prime, and as I like gender switching movies like "Switch" and "It's a Boy Girl Thing," I thought to give it a try. It is really, truly, an awful movie. The dialogue in this movie tells me that the writers think insulting people is funny; it's not. The Sex Trip's main characters make crude remarks to all of the other characters. I've been a judge in some newbie screenwriting competitions and let me tell you this script would not make it past the first round, which entails reading and judging the first thirty pages. The film is loaded with stereotypes; again, the writers think caricatures not characters are funny; they're not. There is nothing "new" in this film from other gender switching movies, but there is a lot "bad" eliminates; ie, the main character not knowing what a woman's menstrual period entails. Stay away; stay far, far away from this film.

This movie takes you from start to finish along a path of someone who itemizes and uses a certain gender as a possession to someone who actually understands a different point of view. I found myself cracking up from start to finish the outtakes were absolutely hilarious. If you're looking for something to take your mind off of life and to show you that true love might exist this movie is for you. Ignore all the critical reviews. People who take this seriously and think this movie needs to be more factual are missing the point for what movies really are

It's not a blockbuster, however it's enjoyable. Great to see Louis Mandylor aging so gracefully. Not to give anything away, but his buddy insights are unique when inspiring Eddie to embrace the situation. Not the same old conflicts. 8/10

The title alone will scare people off but don't let that fool you. It has some good comedic vibes and makes you want to keep watching. It gives you the nice rom/com style without being too much or either.

Ho - ri - ble It has that old script of body change. Ok, but then the guy becomes a girl but still has a job, a social life, etc... Like as if there would ever be such a possibility in this world.... I mean, seriously? There are people who invest in this kind of movie? Just skip it, don't waste your time. Nothing really interesting if you're over 10 yo. Cheers.

The current overall rating is about right at 3 to 4 stars. Not a memorable movie or one to recommend to a friend as a 'got to see' but not a complete waste of time either. If one enjoys the body switch sub genre then a person could do worse than The Sex Trip. If this is a new directorial debut then there is hope in future endeavors.

Firstly, yes this is a well worn plot from Hollywood, but it still is a very watchable and enjoyable film for simple fun. Don't expect much more than that, so just relax and kill some time.

Director obviously a perv as he carefully makes sure to not film any men naked and only women through out the film. It's extremely degrading if I were to give it a higher score. I don't mind nudity as long as its done classy and not for obvious reasons that the director is a perv and just wants to see the chicks topless etc. If this director is so set on making sure to sexualize women and making them seem like nothing more then its obvious he's in the wrong business and should be filming adult entertainment instead. This movie lacks so much including humor and originality. Watch a better version of this movie called Switch (1991) where the director isn't scared to film both sexes *. That movie at least had heart and humor.
