Pregnant Mrs. Claus (Elizabeth Mitchell) is almost due, and she wishes for human contact. So Santa (Tim Allen) decides to bring her parents (Ann-Margret, Alan Arkin) to the North Pole along with Santa's ex and her family (Judge Reinhold, Wendy Crewson, Liliana Mumy). Meanwhile, the Counsel of Legendary Figures is to judge Jack Frost (Martin Short) for all his wrongdoings. Santa decides to help out by letting him work as one of his helpers. Only Jack Frost schemes to take over Christmas by using the Escape Clause. The charms of the previous two installments are mostly gone. When North Pole gets remade into Canada, it just emphasized how fake it all is. In the other two, Tim Allen is running around trying to hide his identity from people who love him. In this one, the only people who don't know is Ann-Margret and Alan Arkin. They don't really love him, and there isn't that joy of discovery. That charm isn't here this time around. Also Bernard the Elf (David Krumholtz) isn't here this time. Curtis (Spencer Breslin) is now the head elf. The movie misses Bernard's attitude and energy. Although it's cute to see Abigail Breslin as one of the little elves. As for Jack Frost, he's alright as the bad guy but he's not funny. In fact, this movie isn't funny. There is a lack of joy. The only one with the wonder and excitement in her eyes is Liliana Mumy. Aside from her, there is too much tension. This movie just doesn't have the same feel.

I just have to sit down and write out a review to counter-act all the nonsense I have seen from people who give this movie a 10! I am the first to admit I loved the first two Santa Clause movies and was really looking forward to this third installment. I even scoffed at the IMDb overall rating for this movie. I thought to myself and told my friends - critics don't know anything about movies and they were hard on the first two films in this series (both average around 4.7 out of 10). This movie can't be as bad as they say and on and on I went. Well the people have spoken and the people are...uhm...well...hmmm...they are absolutely correct! I have to eat crow! This movie is a disaster! This movie SUCKS!!! This movie put me to sleep!!! I had to give it a one out of ten. I don't want to ever see this piece of dog doody again. A movie that relies on farting reindeer for laughs??....sheeesh!!! Enough said. The movie looks like it was thrown together at the last minute with a mish-mashed story line that is so transparent you can see clear through it. Even Tim Allen can't save this movie from being perhaps the worst Christmas movie ever made! If you suffer from insomnia this is the perfect remedy. Buy it on DVD and in minutes you will be nodding off. A word of caution though...should you wake up in the middle of it you will probably scream in abject horror...you will think you are having a Christmas nightmare...or hope that it really is all just a bad dream!' Disney should be shot for releasing this lump of coal. I guess everybody was naughty this year...that is the only explanation for releasing this piece of punishment! Tell your friends to save their money and hard-earned cash and stay the hell away from the Santa Clause 3. They will thank you for it in the end...I promise!! Ho Ho Ho Hurry up and run away from any theatre near you playing this load of reindeer dung! My rating: An absolute disaster - 1 star out of 10!! (as zeros are not allowed!!)

Knock the rust off those silver bells. Christmas is approaching and Santa(Tim Allen)has really got his hands full. Mrs. Claus(Elizabeth Mitchell) is expecting a baby; her parents(Ann-Margret and Alan Arkin)are coming to visit; as well as Santa's ex-wife(Wendy Crewson). The in-laws don't know that their son-in-law is actually Santa and think he is a toy manufacturer in Canada. The biggest distraction though is that Jack Frost(Martin Short)is jealous of Santa and wants to take over his title and holiday. There may be a few chuckles; but this film is as interesting as a fermented fruit cake. It seems targeted for children ten and under; so you know what to expect. Some of the costumes appear clever and I hate to really say that Jack Frost is the centerpiece. Also in the cast: Spenser Breslin, Aisha Tyler, Kevin Pollak and Liliana Mumy. The best gift we could receive is knowing this is the end of the series.

Tim Allen returns for the third in the Santa Clause series as Scott Calvin, better known as Santa Claus. Scott's busy trying to raise his son at the North Pole, but still must deal with the shenanigans of the obnoxious Jack Frost. Santa Clause 3 is the most magical movies I've seen so far this year. Even though Christmas is still a month and a half away, this movie will surely put you in the spirit. It's wholesome and full of good messages. We need more of these types of films to teach our kids good moral values. Tim Allen delivers a great performance and Martin Short was outstanding as Jack Frost. The sets were amazing, as well as the special effects. Full of action, comedy and magic! I was laughing the entire time. This is what Christmas is all about! The rest of the cast was great as well.

In my viewing of Santa Claus 3, I was the only person in the theater to actually see the end of the film! This is the worst movie I've seen in years, and regret not going to see the Borat movie. Why did they even make a third installment when the second one was so horrible? A terrible plot, no acting, a waste of time and money. Don't take your kids to see this movie, my 5 year old found it terrible, and he still watches Barney! I saw the Borat movie afterwords, and it's a fantastic movie. Not kid appropriate, but the funniest movie I have ever seen in my life! If you really have to take the kids, go to Flushed Away. I haven't seen it, but I can almost assure you that it's better than this movie, what I predict will be a huge flop after the opening weekend. I hope you actually take my advice and avoid this movie this holiday season.
