Okay there will never be a shark film that even comes close to Jaws, but there has been some half decent efforts. This however is not one of them. The story, characters, acting, CGI and cinematography are all dire. I was actually annoyed that I wasted an hour & half on this, don't make the same mistake!

"the shark" yeah ok whatever. There are barely any sharks. That's not even the tension. The tension is between you and the remote as you argue with your roommate to keep playing it in the hopes that a shark will appear.

I watched the preview for this movie and I knew the CGI was going to be horrible. I was actually looking forward to a 'so bad it's good' movie. I thought I'd watch it with my wife and we could laugh and make fun of it together. It wasn't even good for that. And while I've always liked Alicia Silverstone, her never-ending shrieking in this movie was enough to give me a headache. This is terrible. Do yourself a favor and skip it.

Taking a romantic trip together, a couple vacationing in Vietnam trying to solve their marital issues are accidentally swept away inside their floating tent by a savage and unexpected storm and must battle the elements and a series of savage shark attacks to make their way to safety. This ended up being a somewhat problematic but somewhat enjoyable effort. What really works well here is the highly enjoyable setup here that offers a reasonable starting point to get them on their way. The early parts here focusing on their trip through the area, their marriage issues, and all the various turmoils that are based on what the trip is for gives quite an intriguing enough look at who they are so that the ensuing survivalist aspect of the film comes off rather nicely. This as well is quite fun with the fun action involving the storm bringing up tons of water and wind that crashes their room down around them and dragging them out to sea that comes off far better than this type of scene should with it providing several realistic injuries and a fine sense of action overall. Once out in the water, the films' turn into a survivalist thriller makes for a somewhat enjoyable turn. Stuck together on the floating raft that was their room and cut off from help with how far away they've drifted away from their hotel, the means of their ingenuity to conjure tactics to escape which goes from securing useful items that would all help to ensure their survival to trying to flag down passing planes or ships creates some thrilling moments. That most of these are about trying to get both of them out of the situation while being hampered by both their situation and the injuries suffered beforehand adds a fine dimension to things. Spiced up with several shark attacks as a means of adding more stress and suspense to their quest, these here are what hold this one up overall. There are some drawbacks here, which unfortunately stem more from viewer perception than anything else. Those wanting this one to be a full-on series of intense and thrilling shark attacks are going to be disappointed here since there's barely any footage of the creatures until the final act which is focused on her trying to find ways of getting to safety with the shark hunting her down as an obstacle to overcome. Some might not like that approach with the creatures first showing up just shy of the hour mark but that's the story being told here. That can make this one dull and disappointing for some looking to indulge in more shark action than what's present here, which is a viewer's expectations being unrealized as the main flaw here just as much as the rather flimsy effects-work present which also keeps this down. Rated Unrated/R: Violence and Graphic Language.

I wish we had the choice to give 0 stars. I don't know where to begin. I feel they had 10$ in budget to make this movie. They just selected random folks from the street to act. It was horrible and such a cringe-worthy movie. I read the comments and a lot of people were saying don't waste your time watching this. I thought to myself, I will give this a chance. I should have listened to the folks that said don't watch this. A total waste of time. Now I say to you who read this, don't waste your time.

This film start with a woman "Jaelyn" waking up from her dream, and she checking her phone scene! As turnout, this film is about a couple(Jaelyn, and Kyle) need to survive from the attack of a bunch of sharks, while they having vacation at Vietnam! Entire film full of boring conversation, and annoying overuse scene! Such as, overuse of the walking scene, overuse of the staring scene, overuse of the calling names scene, overuse of the arguing scene, overuse of the shouting scene, overuse of the dreaming scene, overuse of the long angle scenery scene, overuse of the holding hand scene, overuse of the waking up scene, and overuse of the swimming scene! Make the film unwatchable! All the action scene have blood, and things broken at certain point, but overall portray by sideways, messy, and occur in too short of time! Make the film frustrated to watch! At the end, Jaelyn survive after killing the last shark attacking her! That's it! Another disappointed film!
