Very interesting concept of a psychopath feeling bad for a sad young kid who he decides to take "under his wing" or hold him hostage I wasn't sure how he felt about him in the end. Through out the entire film I kept wondering what is going on. Why is all the killing happening and why didn't he kill Randy? So many unanswered questions in this film. The characters were shallow with not much backstory apart from the main character Randy, even his life story wasn't explained in that much detail and mostly explained in a casual conversation. Not much is explained in this film, its more like we are just thrown into this scenario and tagging along. We know as much as we see and nothing more. The acting was good in this film, the two main characters are an amazing pair. Two opposites - one is a terrified kid and the other is a psychopath. Both portrayed their characters well. The concept for the film is not clear, in the opening scene in the diner the killings begin and after that he never explains why he did it or what made him do it. The shooting scenes were really well put together, great use of CGI and great gore elements. CGI and acting are the only thing I enjoyed about this film the rest is a mess and the story doesn't come to a good conclusion I'd recommend watching this film just because of sheer confusion I had watching it.

The Passenger isn't your typical kind of horror film. It's more of an ultraviolent crime-thriller. Where an introverted young fast food worker is forced to confront his past, on a road trip with a psychopath co-worker, who just murdered the two people who bullied him at his job. Whereas the violent bits certainly are brutal. Most of the rest of the film is rather banal. Two dudes driving in a car. Talking about life. Stopping at gas stations. Eating at cafes. And the like. Technically, they are on the lam. Though, you wouldn't really be able to tell...less the random outbursts of violence undertaken by the angry and, increasingly paranoid, man who has taken him hostage. Forcing him to confront his past, like a ghost of Christmas, or something. As the film progresses...you start to expect there is going to be an explosive ending, akin to Selma & Louise. Though, it's more likely to play out like Dog Day Afternoon. For such a simple film, it's nicely shot. With great acting across the board. Which is what keeps you engaged throughout the film. Even though the level of ultraviolence never really goes anything beyond tame. So, while entertaining enough. The ending doesn't really give you the payoff you come to expect with the territory. Making it a pretty mild experience in the end...that leaves you feeling "meh". 4.5 out of 10.

All means, it is definitely miscategorised like a horror...It is probably a psychological drama/thriller and considering low budget , it is an excellent one ! Acting is superb , it is not too long ,story is ok , even though very predictable .All in all , very decent one time watch ! 600??((( all means, it is definitely miscategorised like a horror...It is probably a psychological drama/thriller and considering low budget , it is an excellent one ! NOT HORROR. My attention span has atrophied in the last 20 years as I'm sure many people's have with internet culture- to the point where I have trouble sitting still and watching a movie for 1.5 hours. I watched this film straight through with only a break to pee. I'm not sure why this film got stuck in the horror category, it just isn't. It's a character study and an examination of different ways people deal with trauma. The two young men in this film have very different reactions to trauma, and this movie examines all sorts of themes about trauma and the idea that it's maybe always easy to see your way out of other people's problems while yours seem hopeless. Kyle Galliner who plays the driver (as opposed to the passenger) absolutely knocks it out of the park with his performance, showing how a violent angry man still has his own brand of compassion and even love for someone in pain. Not everyone will like this film, particularly if you are wanting a horror movie. But if you are a certain kind of person this movie will hit hard. I'd say watch the first 15 minutes, if that doesn't just draw you in then maybe you aren't that kind of person.

If you're violence-shy, you should probably skip this one. If not, I dare you to turn it off after 15 minutes. It's violent, it's original, it's punk rock, it's unforgiving, it's politically incorrect, and you'll hear the Moistboyz over the end credits. Kyle Gallner's skills are on display in possibly his best work since Dinner In America. What's that? You haven't seen Dinner In America? Get on that, but watch this one first so DIA can wash the doom out your pysche. It's certainly not a horror movie (as is categorized here), but that doesn't mean it's not a little scary. Grab some of the family, leave the rest at home, and checker out.
