Please someone tell me why Adam Devine keeps getting worrk. His gimmick is his over-the-top antics, facial gestures, screams and just a complete caricuature of an idiot. He can be okay in one-minute scenes here and there, but having him lead a move is frustrating and burdensome. Imagine a move about Cartman, everything would get old quick.
Having decent actors like Ellen Barkin and Peirce Brosnan who do not overplay their roles only makes Adam Devine more awkard when he is on screen with them.
This is a comedy and I never once laughed. I smile once with a psuedo fourth wall break when a statement was made about the best James Bond. And that was it. Not funny, not dramatic, not action, nothing.

The only cool thing about this movie is Pierce Brosnan and Ellen Barkin. I can't believe they agreed to do this, and that is just giving them more mad respect since the movie is so bad. Or it makes me wonder if they were desperate. Either way, they play their roles really well. At one point I was sure it was Devine's own script because his character was double as idiotic as usual, and since he always plays this character in ANY movie he's in... Well you see my thought.
There are some semi-funny lines and scenes but mostly it's incredibly cringe and annoying toddler humor, mostly always from Devine's part. The idea of the plot is what drew me in, but the writing is just... Abhorrent.

It is what it is. Brilliant, hell no. Good, yes. Wjat I enjoyed the most is Pierce joked about Bond.
Classic Adam Sandler's comedy film. It's ridiculous yet funny. Sonce Sandler is way too old to play leading role, he got a new blood tool over, Adam Devine. Devine used his cheerful stupid but smart characteristic well.
Nina Dobrev was an eye candy.
Pierce Brosnan and Ellen Barkin worked well acting-wise but I don't see good chemistry. It's like watching Brosnancs friend-zone invite to a wedding party.
Richard Kind and Julie Hagerty were spot on. They are so seasoned that they make you smile everytime they have screen time.
The biggest surprise and very funny act is Michael Rooker. Known as villains in most of his movies, he played bumbling FBI agent like a pro comedian. It's like he embodied Peter Seller's Pink Phanter.
The only problem is, as commonly found in a feel good comedy movie, The Out-Laws is not memorable. It's a movie you put on the cable channel again and again. If you jave Netflix subscription, watch it. If not, it's not to die for.

This movie could have been a movie that hardly worth watching if there was absolutely Nothing else to watch. Nothing!
BUT because of Bad acting of Adam Devine it's absolutely does not worth watching at all!
Adam Devine is BAD as Always! Of course we all know in Hollywood the main reason for being casted in a movie is "who you know" and has nothing to do with Talent. Well Adam Devine is probably least talented of anyone else you can think of at this moment. Well David Duchovny maybe as bad? Sarah Jessica Parker? Kristen Stewart, Adam Driver... Yes you could think of many talentless names who are absolutely overrated. But some of these names did at least one half-bad job that worth looking at, maybe once!
Bad news is Adam Devine ruined this movie single handedly beyond salvageable despite of watchable scenes of other actors.
Too bad Pierce Brosnon's image tarnished by being beside the usual super bad acting Adam Devine.
Shame!
