Great actor but very bad and unrealistic plot. REALLY NOTHING TO WATCH THERE The plot is extremely boring and there is nothing interesting in it. and in the story it's a total waste of time Spanish movies are one of the best in the world but this one isn't.

I wish people would stop posting fake reviews. It is so annoying. This movie is worthy of a 1, at best.
I made it through exactly 45 minutes of this trash, fighting sleep the entire way. This movie is BORING. I'm willing to give a movie with subtitles a chance, but for God's sake, it should at least be interesting.
The main character has lost his job and is obviously having financial issues. You see him with his family and on job interviews. That's it. There's nothing else that I can see.
What a colossal waste of time.

I don't believe I spent two hours watching this so-called "film." I kept waiting for anything to happen until the end, nothing happened. The end is illogical and I'm really surprised how Javier wasn't caught?!
Don't waste your time on this movie.

Such a dumb film, a fantasy story posing as a realistic thriller. A resentful little Gamma (who can't provide for his family) befriends an Alpha (twice his size), gets close to his family (ignoring his own), somehow manages to kill the Alpha with his bare hands, and then the Alpha's family falls in love with him and they live happily ever after. You're kidding me, right?? The acting was good, but the story didn't make any sense. To put it simply, this film will probably only appeal to secret kings who whack off all day.

The Occupant / Hogar has a stellar lead performance, who drives an exciting thriller with a strong story and interesting characters.

I see this as a Spanish parasite. Every time Javier intrude his old home it gave me anxiety on whether he's gonna be caught. It is a riveting psychological thriller on a man who do anything to gain power, with awesome performances.

We don't know what the protagonist wants for the first half of the film and when it's clear (due to a deus ex machina) there's no one to empathize with. Full of narrative holes and with a bad ending.

The film has a simple premise, but it is strengthened by another stupendous performance by Javier Gutiérrez, who along with Antonio de la Torres are, in my opinion, the two best Spanish actors in recent years. Javier Muñoz represents the decline of the perfect life of a man, who longing for his best days, decides to ruin the perfect life of that man who he understands has taken his place and has taken away what has belonged to him during all the past years. It is still a perfect portrait of thousands of men who, longing for a perfect life, decide to do whatever it takes to achieve their most pathological wishes. It is incredible what the most twisted mind of a human being is capable of when it seeks to achieve what its own mind has idealized, in this case, a perfect home with all it's components. It is not a perfect movie, it does not have a 'punchline', but it is sustained in another masterful performance by Gutiérrez.
