You could do A LOT worse, like say - 80% of the thriller/horror movies on Netflix. I found this for FREE on Tubi. Sounded cool & different, and I was almost put off by the 3.1 rating......So glad I made up my own mind. It's NOT low-Budget, it has twists, turns, and is exactly what you might be lookin' for. I watch a crazy amount of movies - of all genre's, etc. Watch this one, you won't be whining and giving it a 1 star rating; unless you are expecting something that'll go down in history. Super fun, NOT slow-paced, just go for it. Oh, and Jesse Metcalfe - come to Mama!!

Miss this boat load of you know what and stay on the dock instead. You could do something more interesting like catch a fish or not watch this movie.

First off, the synopsis for this movie doesn't describe this movie or you can say it very loosely describes it. There wasn't really much "partying". There definitely wasn't a 9th passenger. There are monsters. The passengers don't blame one another for the deaths, but once by the annoying sister (short lived too). Why keep watching if it's so bad: For the hopes it gets better! The build up, nothing happens until literally an hour in. The "smart/nerd" sister, holy hell! Her acting was HORRENDOUS. Her voice was excruciating. I couldn't handle it. Thank goodness most of her yapping is in then end. They never really show the monsters in full. Then the end, lame.

What a terrible movie this is, don't waste time watching this rubbish. Terrible acting by every single person in the film (Did they actually paid for this?) The money hey must have spent could have been an alright amount that with a better story and bunch of actors a decent film could have been made.

A bunch of people seems to not understand the film. Well !!! it is their loss... This film is amazingly witty, clever and funny with nice horror. People have their brains so fried up with superhero movies and in your face horror that they don't seen to understand and appreciate a subtle, multilayered story like this with allegorical and symbolism. The horror is top notch, the acting is top notch , the acting is competent and the maker has given us the modern classic "It Follows". Need I say more... Do not trust the fake low reviews ... this movie deserve something around 7.6 or 8/10 Excellent movie. Highly recommended

One of the characters is super irritating and is the embodiment of a SJW. Every time I heard her speak or especially scream, I just cringed. There are a few likable characters. The comic relief cook is not one. The story is ok, but has been done many times before and much better. The movie almost had decent atmosphere, but it had characters do stupid things to kill them off. The monsters were almost interesting, but you could easily tell it was a person in a suit. Props on not using CGI though. It's almost enjoyable, except the SJW dies last. But, because they did finally kill her off, I am able to give this movie three stars.

When I started reading the reviews I simply couldn't believe it. I mean, The Ninth Passenger was a long-awaited horror film starring decent actors like Metcalfe and Fast. For a moment I thought all the hate reviews were organized somehow. Oh boy, how wrong I was. The movie is a ridiculous mess of a lame script, dull characters and acting beyond awful. Every single person on a screen was painful to watch. So, a horror movie, huh? There are no sight of anything thrilling in first 40 minutes. Not even some scary opening scene like in any self-respecting horror film. And when there's finally a liitle bit of a blood smears and puddles, what do we get? Some guy in a silly monster costume. A bad one. Nope, not scary at all. Lazy start, absurd second act and sketchy ending - this is what The Ninth Passenger is. Absolutely pointless, dumb and unnecessary waste of time even if you're a hard forror fan. Well, if you're not, you can even laugh a bit. But not recommended anyway.

Well I'm speechless. The only action I got out of this movie was the beating I recieved from my girlfriend afterwards for making her watch this utter crap. Terrible acting overall, except for maybe the "mechanic". The effects were close to non-existent. If I was to watch this movie without sound, I problably wouldn't even notice that it's supposed to be a horror-movie. There was so many errors in this movie, but I won't even bother anymore, I've wasted enough time on this already.

This is by far the worse movie I have ever seen in my entire life! The cast were horrible actors and the movie made no sense what so ever! Nothing was explained. Directors threw crap in the movie and that was it. I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone. If you need to put a movie on and just fall asleep I still would not recommend this movie. Trust me it's that bad!
