Yeah I I'm a much older indian guy but damn reminded me alot about my high-school days. (Oblivious as heck, treating neards, girls with sweaty hands ect.) I could have been a much more positive person and this film really hit on that new kid social outcast aspect. Also the strict Indian parenting. The whole older cousin thing was kind of confusing. Was the cousin a dancer did she got the school? Kinda odd. Cool to see David Arquette do a great job in his performance. Worth the watch. I'd say it's under rated. Give it a shout send a like of u agree with me.
7/10 for me. They should make a surrey candian version of this with much more diversion to add to the mix.

Rated TV-MA. This movie was really depressing. Characters are called all kinds of offensive slurs and bullied terribly. This might have been ok in a high school drama in the 80s but this is not ok today.
Worst moments:
When the main character was secretly filmed and the video posted online with the intent of making it look like she was having sex.
The main character locked in a storage room and becoming overwhelmed and depressed by all the bullying. The slurs she's been called the whole movie begin to appear written all over her body.
Main character pressured to smoke a lot of marijuana in exchange for money.
Two boys throwing quarters at the main character and calling her a *.
Best moments:
Bollywood style dance montage while the main character is really high in marijuana.

I watched it and surprised I thought it was good.
Don't know if girls have these many problems in
school. I would guess her problems at home and at
school mix and gets confusing.
Saw the movie twice so to me that means it is good.
I was surprised in parts of the movie.
Megan Suri did a very good job as a high school
girl.
Don't know what came 1st, this movie or the
Netflix show 'Never Have I Ever'. But I like them
both.
I wonder how much better the Netflix show would have
been if Megan was the star instead of just one of
the extras in it.
It is nice to see girls with the problems
the boys face in school in movies.

Granted, this is not a showstopper. It's been done plenty of times.
But I actually liked it. Entertaining. The lead actress Megan was a real pleasure to watch in action. Funny movie even.

What can I say about The MisEducation of Bindu.
It's really great to see representation of South Asian young actresses with in these types of films thus I'm giving it 10/10 because it is nice to see young South Asian actresses being represented in film and TV. Especially those who do not have an accent. Now the main character moves in and out of her accent which is fine. But this coming-of-age film was kind of difficult to watch... I had a lot of RAGE and screaming at the screen! LOL
Let's move on to the review of the movie which I would probably give 4 out of 10 Stars. Why is this you ask because the main character goes through so much. And yet she doesn't trust adults around her to confide in her mental health and wellness. It is something that we all have grown and grew through. But the type of bullying represented in this film is just absolutely disgusting to the point where I wondered if the main character would do something to harm herself. I was pleasantly surprised to see the ending and love at the f-bombs thrown around and I thought it was wonderful however the stark ending left me so.... Incomplete.
I wanted to see Bindu go back into school and show everyone who was the boss. And that no one could make her feel like crap! I wanted her relationship with that guy to blossom into something but really he was a total jerk and continue to be a jerk it was so absolutely disgusting. Also her stepfather I wish she just confided in him and he gave her the freaking money.
There's so many parts to this film that I found unfair and really upsetting. Not to say that it should go my way and it should have a happy ending with unicorns and music. But, it left me... stunned.
I'm not going to ramble and reiterate myself into the same things that I'm pretty much saying and running in circles with. I just feel so incomplete after watching this film and I hope that the main character will blossom into something and move on in life being better than her mother and also embrace these stereotypes of her culture and show Ignorant people that she is a person who is beautiful inside and out and nothing is WRONG with her.

Quirky, full of heart and featuring a diverse cast, The Miseducation of Bindu puts us right into the shoes of an Indian girl Bindu, played by the talented Megan Suri, as she navigates her local high school after her mom remarries. Starring the Scream franchise's David Arquette as her stepfather Bill and Priyanka Bose as her mother Kasturi, The Miseducation of Bindu is a sweet and heartwarming story about a teen who finds her true calling amidst the trials and tribulations of fitting into her new high school. The pot smoking sequence that leads to a very unexpected dance number is the highlight of the entire story and Megan Suri's fantastic acting is a sight to behold. With fantastic characters, energetic music and a story perfectly in line with the multicultural America of today, The Miseducation of Bindu soars above and beyond, delivering an emotionally poignant adventure that will win you over by the end.

The actress Megan Suri was 20/21 (not 38) when she made this movie playing a presumably 17/18 year old. Another reviewer is either a troll or has obvious racist tendencies, or both. And if you know kids in public high schools, you'd know that the bathrooms are a popular social gathering place, where exclusively "girl talk" or "boy talk" can take place. The movie plot, while not original, had some interesting points about navigating the awkward and often non-sensical" social rules of high school. And there were some comical moments and true to life, though exaggerated, situations and characters. Worth the watch.

This movie was fantastic. I watched it on Peacock, and the story and characters are so endearing. The actress that plays Bindu is amazing at physical comedy. Furthermore, the writing is great! So many great jokes. Highly recommend it!

If it was an all America movie, it would have been great but this is really boring for me.
I do love Indian movie but this wasn't up to standard.
Not like most teens high school movie.

What was really this film about, bullying or parental neglect? Or was it just money. For a grumpy old man this was far too slow, underestimating the audience, it has some make-up issue comedy and the acting isnt completely of the target.but the plot and its speed was.
Wanna see some good western/indian comedy, see peter sellers in ''the party''
