I found this movie (unrated version) to be very entertaining. I am not really into martial arts movies but the underlining messages provided throughout the movie were profoundly enlightening. If your are an intellectual person - this movie if for you. If not, continue to play video games or watch scream 4 or something like that. It had a lot of action (boy and girl power). Nevertheless, the idea of an African American as an epic hero was a true positive. Finally a movie where African Americans are portrayed in a true and educating positive light. Never really new much about the Wutang thing until now but I must say RZA rocks! Keep it positive for us.

If you loved the classic kung fu of the 60s/70s and Quentin T then give this a try. It's not a classic but is a far, far way from terrible. Brilliant slapstick martial arts and good meaty characters.

I do not understand how this movie is judged so harshly... One of the main characters is played by Ryu from Street Fighter... Others say it is a disgrace to the style of movie... It should have been an anime. It was live action. With the trivia saying it should have been split into two movies, and it wasn't. How can you take a 4 hour movie and cut it back to 90 minutes. This is a great movie. Blame Eli Roth. (Which is most likely the reason Tarantino backed the movie) I didn't even know who RZA was before this. For his first attempt at acting, directing and writing, he did a decent job. Ryu,'silver lion' was horrible. But, you don't cast a D list actor, without expecting a slight backlash. The A list actors are obviously courtesy of Quentin.

I can not help but wonder, who the hell let RZA direct, act, or write the script for this movie?! I guess this sums up, what my review... Russel is good, not at his best, but script does not allow him to be great. Fights are badly choreographed, but most actors know what they are doing, so its bearable to watch. There a lot of beautiful Asian girls, witch is also brightest thing in this, well lets call it a movie. And i must add, special effects are pretty good. But, I've seen kids on YouTube making great visuals in their homes, so that makes no impact. Revealing you plot it would be just waste of time. If you have hour and half of your life to waste. Watch this movie. I had couple of goods laughs, not believing what I'm watching. Other than that... Well avoid it if anyhow possible.

Chaotic mess. Random plot, silly dialogue, wooden performances. Fight scenes are your standard martial arts fare, ie well-choreographed and ridiculous. Russell Crowe and Lucy Liu are only there to give the movie star power. Even they seem to be just going through the motions. Crowe is also let down by having some of the dumbest lines in the movie, and having to put on a really silly accent. Goodness knows why he took the gig - maybe he needs the money. Don't be fooled by the "Quentin Tarantino presents..." in the title. He has nothing to do with this film, and will endorse any movie. (Seriously, I don't think he's ever disliked any movie). Give it a miss.
