The Blair Witch Project has got a lot to answer for by creating the genre of found video footage. In this one we have an evangelistic minister who carries out exorcisms to impress the easily impressed by using stage magic effects, complete with film crew in tow. Imagine his surprise when he comes across a case which appears to need a real exorcism. The cast of unknowns does quite well, and there are some genuinely creepy moments, and there is even a plot development near the end which is a bit unexpected. But the ending is a bit rubbish, to be frank - it is clearly signalled early on, and there is a strong element of "Oh. Is that it?" And it was.

I'm sorry to say, but this film truly is a huge slap in the face to film fans and horror fanatics out there. Who the hell keeps giving Roth money to make these terrible films? This movie is god-awful. Just a massive spin off of Emily Rose, The Blair Witch, and Paranormal Activity. Even "The Exorcist" has far better suspense and horror. This is boring, not scary, and complete waste of time. Not worth anyone's money. Save yourself from sitting through a few hours of pointless dreadful film making at its best. I went in expecting to be thrilled and terrified, came out thinking was is the nearest toilet so I may vomit. These no budget thrillers leave the audience empty every single time. People actually "boo-ed" at the end credits. Teach Hollywood a lesson, don't encourage them to keep making these and save your money.
