I decided to rewrite this review after watching the movie again.
Let me start off by saying I'm a big fan of the Land Before Time series, and it's changed my life more than anything else I can think of. With that taken care of, I will tell you why I gave this movie a seven out of ten rating.
It starts off pretty normal and fun. The way The Land Before Time should be. But as time goes on, you seem to notice the humor is a little different, the words are more basic, and it just keeps getting wilder from there. I know the yellowbellies are supposed to be weird and different, but this goes too far. Sometimes even the main gang was acting out of character. The story, while venturing into the mysterious beyond, did not have high enough stakes. It was more of a moral-learning story than anything else, and even then, the morals were a little bit too easy to recognize. That being said, the voices of the characters were great. However, they changed Littlefoot's voice (again!), and now he sounds like a mix between Aaron Spann (Land Before Time XI) and Scott McAfee (Land Before Time II-IV)--perhaps a little Brandon LaCroix (Land Before Time V) in there; and while I like Scott McAfee's voice, Cody Arens' (Land Before Time XIII) voice did not really fit what you expect from Littlefoot. The background artistry was great, the animation very good, and Michael Tavera doing his magic with the orchestral music. One or two of the songs were kind of catchy, but if you notice, it's a leap back from what Michele Brourman and Amanda McBroom normally do. A different style. I don't know if they were told to do it that way, but it doesn't sell as well as some of their other fabulous work on the other Land Before Time sequels. I heard from a source that this movie also had a lower budget. Also, notice how the main director and producer isn't Charles Grosvenor.
All-in-all, it was a light-hearted, TV episode-style movie, with all of your favorite friends. Long time fans will still enjoy this movie, as well as the new young watchers!

This movie will fully and seriously entertain anyone under 5 years old but if you are an adult, then it is so dire compared to the original that you will be in hysterics. It is a bright upbeat film but seems to be somewhat lacking in the plot a little. There isn't much 'atmosphere' in the movie. I think this is more humorous than anything. As long as you don't expect to be too engaged and you don't take it seriously and go along with its upbeat fun aspects, you will be able to have a chance of enjoying this movie, if however you expect it to be anything like the original or even previous sequels however then you will probably be bored and a bit shocked at what Land Before Time has become. I have given this movie a 5 out of 10 because despite it being one of the worst sequels in my opinion, it gets extra stars for being like an almost total funny mockery.

As a devoted fan of the franchise, I found this latest entry to be a lightweight. It has more silliness than actual plot. Littlefoot and his friends meet a lost herd of goofy dinosaurs. They decide that the herd are never going to get home without help. On the way they learn various lessons from each other. Choices can depend as much upon feelings as upon wisdom. It's far better to dance than to worry. Some nice character moments, but not very much action. For once it is Grandmother advising Littlefoot, rather than Grandfather. The other adults are largely absent. The narration has been culled since there is very little to say after 12 other films. There is no continuity with the TV series. Songs are forgettable. 4/10

This was the last "Land Before Time" movie, at least for awhile. It's one of the worst in the whole series, although it doesn't really have much of a lower rating than most of the other sequels. This movie features Littlefoot and his friends finding a bunch of dinosaurs called yellow bellies. They need to help them find their herd. Halfway through the movie, they actually do, so the movie's over, right? Nope. It just extends into an even more pointless movie as the gang helps the yellow bellies around. Oh, and the sharptooths appear and are weaker than ever.
One even has a massive scar and he can't do anything! Anyway, the animation probably isn't worse than the other movies. What makes this worse is that these yellow bodies are so annoying. They have these bad voices and are mostly dumb. We have to deal with these guys the whole movie and they're easily the worst guest characters in the movies. We get some moral about following more on instinct than wisdom or something like that. It's very clichéd and makes for a lame movie. *1/2

I am going to be incredibly blunt here. This is the absolute worst animated movie I have ever seen in my entire life beating out Charlotte's Web 2, Mars Needs Moms and The Secret of Nimh 2! The yellow bellies are extremely obnoxious! They never shut up, they're movements are almost as over exaggerated and hyper as Flint Lockwood, they're dumb and delirious as heck! Seriously, there's one scene in the canyon where the yellow bellies are sitting there eating berries while there are Sharpteeth running towards them! What do they notice? Not a dang thing! By the way, this movie could've ended if Littlefoot took his friends' requests and just left the yellow bellies to go on the rest of their journey alone! Seriously, every character is an idiot, not just the yellow bellies. The group are all having to relearn lessons that they already mastered movies ago! Also, this is kind of a nitpick compared to everything else but the overabundance of CGI was too much to bear. Okay back to the yellow bellies for one final time, what is with the comedy surrounding them?! This movie seems to have an obsession with dinosaur butts! Seriously, those were every joke surrounding the yellow bellies! Another horrible thing in this movie is the songs! God these songs are so pretentious and obnoxious! The first song in unnecessary and annoying, the second song is unnecessary and annoying and the third song is unnecessary and annoying! Actually, that pretty much sums up the entire movie, unnecessary and annoying!

MCSaurus on DeviantART is honestly one of LBT's biggest fans, many people may not like this film but still, there's a lot of effort against this rare but AWESOME film! The TV Series may seem rare but children love it, And if all YOU people don't like it...then look again. You should check out MCSaurus' Artwork right now, and believe me it looks both gay AND cool! He even has his very own LBT Franchise the 'Bellisaurs' that looks totally cool X3 His dinosaur stuff is brilliant and so too does this film, Films 2-12 may seem a little sluggish and boring but at least like them! PLEASE! Spread this godly moment right here on IMDb, Children are good with rare films, and rare films are good with them, Except Romeo & Juliet Sealed with a Kiss (2006) Which was pathetic!!!

The Land Before Time XIII: The Wisdom of Friends, ah, the 13th installment in the Land Before Time series, I can't believe I've seen all the movies. I love how everyone makes fun and says that there are five million of these movies, it's not exactly like they went into the movie theater or anything. Personally, I think this is all good, why not introduce our beloved characters to a new generation. Not to mention that these stories are a small way of teaching kids how to act. I'd rather have my child watching this vs. Hannah Montana, which I'm still convinced is hypnotizing children to become Miley Cyrus's trained soldiers. But it's good to see the gang together once again in this fun little story about sharing.
Littlefoot, Cera, Spike, Petrie and Ducky are excited to meet two goofy and lovable yellow-bellied dinosaurs named Loofah and Doofah, who have lost their way while traveling to the distant Berry Valley. Loofah and Doofah seem to be too clumsy to find the way back, so Littlefoot and the others decide to help their new friends while sharing important life lessons called Wisdoms along the way. By the time they reach Berry Valley, Littlefoot realizes that even though the Yellow Bellies don't follow his Wisdoms very well, their silly techniques work just fine.
The Land Before Time XIII: The Wisdom of Friends was a nice addition to the story. It wasn't by any means my favorite of the series, it does get a little cheesy after a while, but it's all good. Like I said before, these movies are bashed by everyone without being given a fair chance. These movies are just a new way of showing younger kids how to act in life, even though these are the morals that our beloved Barney has provided, I have a feeling that these movies don't insult the kid's intelligence as much. They have fun songs, good animation and our great gang of friends that are always a joy to see on screen. I do recommend this movie for the family, give it a fair chance, these movies were not bad at all.

I know many dislike and have their reasons to hate this movie, especially judging how long the Land Before Time franchise has lasted with so many movies. I have seen many movies in the franchise and I dare say this is one of my favorite LBT movies.
For a franchise that has been standing for years and having sequels in films can no longer be taken seriously anyway, the drama and crying shown in the early films has saturated and lost its grace, after all we are talking about a series where characters never grow similar to Pokémon. I really love the Yellow Bellies in particular, Loofah and Doofah who are really unique and fun characters, and forgive me purist paleontologists, but I also LOVE their design. X3 The fact that the movie shifts from the drama cliché and focuses more on comedy also gives it a fresher and more different feel which makes this movie more fun to watch.
I really wish I could see more of Loofah, Doofah and Foobie, if only in a spin-off series focused solely on them (of course without making changes to their cute design and goofy behavior). This movie might not be suitable for anyone looking for something serious involving dinosaurs, but it's a movie that I certainly find fun to watch.
