to put this in perspective we sat down to watch this as something suitable and harmless for us both and we ended up switching it off after about 15 minutes. Do the people that made this really need to have it explained to them that there should be something endearing about the people in a romantic comedy? also a guide for a comedy is that its an idea to put some funny lines in........absolutely charmless. This film was so bad that without a doubt some of the other gushing reviews are fake. This is an embarrassment to the British film industry and a waste of an opportunity.

This movie is a mix of everything... A bit of hangover, bridesmaid, Imagine Me & You, Love Actually... The story-line has nothing brand new, yet I think the writers have done an amazing job in branding all the bright-spots together and make this a pleasantly enjoyable movie. I also think the slow pace of the movie helps you to digest and treasure the wickedness and funniness of the script more, but it's certainly not the cup of tea for everybody. As an amateur film maker I love how the footage from the Canon 5D adds an extra dimension to the movie without compromising on the image quality. The director have made use of clever camera placement which gives a documentary touch and bring a level of reality to the entire movie.

Another reviewer suggested that the glowing reviews this movie has gotten here are fake, and just looking at them, I did think that they were very similarly worded. The other thing that might tip you off is that they give the movie a very high rating, while the overall rating of the film is only 3.4. I decided to check out the movie myself, and although it has its moments, they are too few and far between to rescue this shipwreck. This movie is about as bad as American Pie: The Wedding. I kept wondering throughout what planet the screenwriter is from, because humans on this planet do not talk or behave the way the characters in the movie do. The acting is fittingly wooden, as the actors were probably cringing internally at the awful, stilted dialogue they had to deliver. I want my hour and a half back.

Wedding comedy translated to the 21st century ... finally! Best of all this lovely film appeals to boys and girls married or not...it is a great night out. In fact there is so much detail in this film it is well worth seeing more than once ... you will discover something new to make you smile every time... It certainly worked for me. The cast is just the right mixture of new talent and established stars. The way it is filmed is also superb. Every day bits of London showed off in glorious light. Did I already mention the music? Soundtrack is extremely pleasant. Like all good film music it adds to the film without being too obvious. The only criticism I can offer is that the wedding seemed a bit short. Would be interesting to see a next installment of what happened on the honeymoon...or at least the day after the big party...

Great down to earth British movie. Plenty of laughs and always something to keep your attention on the film. So many people in the cinema were laughing at the gags and comedy moments. The cast worked well together and this shows on the screen. A twinkling of Hollywood by MenaSuvari being in the film. Personally I think the cert should be 18 and not 15. The humour will work better for adults and not kids aged 15. Great writing, great gags, and great British locations where this was filmed. My final thoughts, great film and I have recommended people to see it. When it comes out on DVD I will have one in my collection. If you love a good wedding movie then you will love this film.

Happy Day, a couple is getting married! Alexandra (Talulah Riley) is certain Jeremy (Matthew McNulty) is the man for her and visa versa. Both of them submit to videographers, who have also chronicled such wild events as showers and bachelor-bachelorette parties. Now, its hours before the wedding and the couple doesn't know how difficult the day is going to become. For Jeremy, his grroomsmen have played pranks on him, from sabotaging his toothpaste to casting doubts on his desire to wed Alex. For her part, Alexandra has experienced a bridesmaid gone AWOL, a new hairdresser, nervous parents and an equally nervous stomach. When one of the groomsmen tears his tux jacket and thwarts the car rental, Jeremy banishes him until he finds a tailor and a new limo to meet the couple after the ceremony. Another of Alex' bridesmaids has to take a detour for emergency stitches. Then, too, there is a church mix-up, with the later couple wreaking havoc, with repetitive interruptions, on an African couple at a chapel with a similar name. Will this ceremony happen at all? This pleasing and funny romcom is marred seriously by a plethora of objectionable material, from sexual scenes to crude bodily function scenarios. Most fans of light romance will probably want to fast forward through some of these depictions. Smart idea. Nevertheless, Riley and McNulty are delightful and so is the supporting cast, including Mena Suvari. The venues in London are wonderful and the costumes quite fetching while the script has numerous funny ideas and the direction is fast-paced. Beware, romcom fan, of the R rating but if you dare to rent it, you will be laughing and sighing.

Comedy is a tough genre, but it also can be very easy. It's always good to get young British acting talent together to make your movie, which is the case here. But this does not always hit the spot, trying to be as funny as possible, instead almost talking itself into a full stop time and time again. Some jokes are good though and while this isn't anything like "Big fat British wedding" (taking in the whole experience from both sides and with a group of friends), it does have quite a few cheap jokes that you'll either think are hilarious or just plain juvenile. Especially pranks right before the wedding are a "favorite" ... or that one line you say too loud in a building which almost ruins everything (though the resolution to that is far too simple). It's decent, nothing more, nothing less

This is my first ever attempt a film review, hope nobody minds haha. Why have I decided to write one? Well just watched The Knot and had to voice my opinion on this great British comedy movie! Absolutely loved it, laughed the whole way through! At a time where I think we all need cheering up as a nation, the movie really nailed it! It portrayed the very stressful subject of the wedding and events leading up to it in a very clever and yet very funny and emotional way. I am not normally that fond of comedy films but actually thought it was very funny indeed. Well done to all involved in the film, will be watching again tomorrow!!!

I will not write about the movie, many others did it before. I only write this review to help others make a decision whether to watch or not. If you want a traditional Hollywood (predictable, sugar-sweet) movie in this genre, probably it's nothing for you. It is absolutely nothing stunning or smashing about this movie but it's much better than the 1-3 point reviews. Then again I agree with one reviewer that some review are false or absolutely ridiculous, this movie is NOT 10 or even 9, maybe if you never so a movie before and are exalted about the story and think it's a documentary like some people thought about "The X files" if not - then not! But still some funny moments with some good laughs. I rated 6 to get it little higher but actually it's a very strong 5, for me 5,5 :-) I recommend you to watch it, why? It's better than most Hollywood productions that are 100% more predictable. Thanks for reading!
