Hearing the actual recordings were heart breaking, this poor man knew he was going to die for no other reason than he was black. Absolutely disgusting display of an abuse of power, those officers are nothing short of criminals and deserve to be in prison.

The movie is very powerful in the story that unfolded when a 70 yr old veteran was killed by police because he wouldn't do what they wanted him to do, there is no propaganda about the movie, if that is how police act in America, i can understand why people hate them, instead of sending storm troopers for a welfare check, either firemen or paramedics would be better, as they have compassion and are trained and educated, not thugs. The acting was spot on, and the story unfolded in a truthful easy to understand way, pity the police weren't charged with murder.

The Killing of Kenneth Chamberlain is an incredible film that needs to be seen. The performances, dialogue, camera work, and musical score make the film extremely difficult to watch, but it's one of the best films I've seen in a long time. I've loved Frankie Faison for years and his performance here is the best of his career without a doubt. The film reminded me of other films that are difficult to watch, but stay with you weeks and months after they end: Schindler's List, United 93, Saving Private Ryan, and especially Fruitvale Station come to mind. SEE THIS FILM!!!

Wow. This film left me in tears. It feels like you are right there for the whole incident and can see how situations like these can easily spiral out of control without proper deescalation techniques. This movie has the power has to cross bipartisan lines and give people a glimpse into these types of tragedies and how to avoid them.

As A white man watching this I was enraged, I can only imagine what it's like for black people to watch. It's filmed really well and you get a real sense of what went on on that horrible morning. Looking at the reviews on here you can see some very racist views. The coroner ruled that he was killed while on the ground and not while running around brandishing a knife. The acting is excellent by the whole cast. I encourage everyone to watch this movie.

Every single one of these PIGS should be rotting in prison. Too many corrupt, egotistical fools walking around not knowing anything other than how to use violence to control. Dare they come to a home that is locked and loaded; it'd be an honor to give them all the lead that they deserve. It is disgusting that this is a true story. I have zero faith or respect for cops anymore.

This Film did a phenomenal job of telling Kenneth's story, The ending had me frozen in disbelief, I didn't realize I was crying until I snapped back into reality. Everyone in the theater were so silent you could hear a pin drop. It's like we all forgot to breath, then we sat there paralyzed in our seats and just wept until the lights came on. Please go watch this film so you get to know Kenneth Chamberlain's story too.

Please watch this film. Compelling, should-be-mandatory viewing. A true story. With the support of Morgan Freeman this is an important moment to tell this story which captures in one incident a legacy of police violence. Watch now!

America was supposed to be a leader of liberty, freedom and justice. But this film sheds more light on the hypocrisy of those claims simply through the false presumptions of its frontline enforcers. The system failed an innocent man and took his life without any due process in his own home when they were supposed to help. This story is very well portrayed by all members of the cast, especially the police and perfectly encapsulates how the bias of only a few, can destroy the lives of many.

The opening quote at the beginning of the film by Christopher L. Hayes is excellent framing: "Depending on who you are, the sight of an officer can produce either a warm sense of safety and contentment or a plummeting feeling of terror." This film is about learning about Kenneth Chamberlain as much as it is about learning about the failed systems that were designed to protect him. To find solutions, it is important to understand where the problems are, and this film's narrative shows us a mapping.
