It remembered me of the Woody Allen movie "Small time Crooks". The casting was great and the characters created very amusing. I must say that I loved the performance by Uma, Samuel and Joe (even he surprised me a bit). The movie is light, entertaining and doesn't try to create an unnecessary depth. I can't talk to much about the editing cause I'm no expert but the only thing that seemed a bit excessive was maybe the narrator.
The underlying message apparently just explores the ridicoulness in everything as in these comentaries. The movie itself is a metaphor, that exhibits the need that people have to comment and go with the hearsay.
Apparently the movie "continues".

How can you not watch a movie that reunites Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson for the first time since Pulp Fiction?! They both give knockout performances once again. Kill Room is a combination dark comedy/thriller/drama all rolled into one. The plot is unique and original ( A hitman - Joe Manganiello- inadvertently becomes an overnight art sensation through a money laundering scheme). The movie is entertaining and unpredictable as hell. The rest of the cast do a superb job of bringing their characters to life. Director Nicol Paone is applauded for giving the audience a finale that perfectly caps off the story and makes you want to talk about it afterwards. Definitely going to watch again!!!!!

I know it's such a cliche to throw around "worst movie of the year" - but, in this particular case it really feels like it might be a worthy award for this utter piece of garbage flick.
It is SO bad - the acting, the writing, the plot - nothing works here. Save yourself and avoid this steaming pile of underperforming and underdelivering rubbish.

The movie is not great, the critics are right about that. But you cannot understate what the actors gave us with the little they had. Samuel l jackson is as always giving out a very believable performance as crook gone art fraud, uma thurman was less believable as she stuttered at every businesslike word that was supposed to paint her as a serious art gallery owner. It was kind of hard to watch how played eccentricity can backfire . The side cast was doing a stellar job as well. I felt completely immersed in this bizarre and backwards underground art world. It just never came together, there was no real plot, awkward dialogue and a dissappointing ending. So not as bad as people would want you to believe but not good either.

The casting was remarkable, luring viewers in with excessive temptation from the start. As the story unfolds, you'll discover that the narrative and plot are indeed worth investing your time in. However, as the movie progresses, it loses momentum and ultimately, the execution falls disappointingly short.
The film explores the concept of selling something you don't desire but end up purchasing because everyone else is doing so. In essence, it delves into the notion that if you have an abundance of wealth, you become a pawn in one way or another. Uma Thurman dominates the screen throughout, delivering a performance in line with her character. Regrettably, the movie's conclusion is so devoid of meaning that it extinguishes any remaining excitement.
Whether you choose to watch it or not, hardly any difference.

I was a little surprised by the low rating here, but then I dared to watch the film and was not disappointed.
The film may not be for everyone and will not appeal to a wide audience, but it will certainly be of interest to artists, gallerists and collectors. For people in the art world, there are a number of very accurate references to actual behaviour, so I found it deliciously entertaining. Certainly, this film falls into the realm of shallow entertainment, but that genre is fully justified: and in that it deserves a good rating. I found myself smiling a lot and feeling well entertained.
With this in mind, I have allowed myself to be moved to a more generous score of 9 points.

Patrica (Uma Thurman) is a struggling art dealer, not as successful as her peers. She takes drugs to help her with anxiety. Nate (Matthew Maher) is her drug dealer. She asks Nate if he knows any rich people who like art. Nate mentions this to Gordon (Samuel L. Jackson) who runs a deli and he also needs to launder money. Reggie (Joe Manganiello) is part of this group. He kills people in a rival group using a plastic bag. Gordon proposes to launder money through Patrica's gallery. Reggie creates "art" using his kill bag and a few brush strokes. Patricia sells it to a phony collector. She gets paid cash money and writes the artist a heck minus a commission. Her assistant is excited about the rough and dark "Bagman" art and it becomes a sensation in the art world. This was not according to plan.
A different type of crime drama with some comedy elements and a strong female character by Uma Thurman.
Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

I swear to god, i can tell a woman directed a film after watching only 10-15 minutes of it. I'm not sure how, but I have never missed, I have a perfect score.
Where the f** is the music in this film?? I managed to watch only bout 45 minutes of this rubbish, and I could swear I haven't heard a single melody, it felt as I'm watching people just walking around their ordinary work days.
The editing is horrible, the dialogues stiff and as written by someone just starting to write.
Uma is emotionless, and the part doesn't suit her at all.
The camera work is so damn basic, and this might be the very first time i noticed indoor lighting in a film.. Some of the scenes are so bad lighted that I actually noticed it, which is crazy to me.
This could have been a fun film, if directed by Tarantino..or anyone who doesn't have a melon instead of a head on his shoulders.
Anyways, this piece is boring on so many levels, it hurts.
