This thing gave me an existential crisis as a kid. I wasn't even sure where to catalog it or how to absorbed what I saw because at the climax I distinctly was hoping to god she had let that boy go. I re-watched it when I was older, and it got even creepier, more chilling. This kid isn't just a piece of baseless fiction, and the knowledge of that crawls my skin to this very day. The most horrifying reasons I've ever come to know for bad actions, is simply "because I can", "because I wanted to", and "because I liked it". It delivered on its premise and the concept, despite being distasteful, is not outlandish.

Bad attempt at a thriller that's more annoying than scary. The worst film and performance of Macaulay Culkin's career. Joseph Ruben did a better with identical material in The Stepfather(1986). Plays like a prequel to The Stepfather(1986). At times Henry behaves like a younger version of the violent husband of Sleeping with the Enemy(1991). The Good Son(1993) fails to show any geniune signs of villiny in the character of Henry.

This movie was good but it could have been executed so much better. The story line was solid but it seemed the movie rushed along way too quick and it should have progressed slower and with the subject matter being dealt with I feel the movie would have played through much better. This movie is about a young boy(Wood) who loses his mother and is sent to stay with his cousin(Culkin) while his dad is on a business trip. At first he gets along really well with his cousin but soon he notices strange phycotic tendencies coming from the young boy. This movie was pretty good the acting was really good from everyone except Culkin in my opinion he cant act some people say different. Overall I say its worth a watch

This movie has some of the best young stars including Henry (Macaulay Culkin) who plays the role of the horrible kid in this movie. This movie begin when Mark(Elijah Wood) unfortunately has a family incident were he moves in with his aunt and uncle who lives on top a mountain overlooking the ocean water. Even though Mark is recovering from family trauma so are his aunt and uncle including Henry. After settling in at his uncle's home things were o.k at first but things began to go down as Mark got more comfortable being there. Do you think Henry will destroy the before Mark can convince his aunt that things aren't safe. This was real great but some of this could have been better.

This movie was incredible, sort of like a cross between Radio Flyer (minus the flyer) and Apt Pupil (minus the Nazi). The overall experience was haunting, one of the darkest, most disturbing films ever. Macauley Culkin (Home Alone) and Elijah Wood (The Ice Storm) were great, Culkin, towards the end of his child acting career, and Wood, near the beginning. The script was great, and Culkin handled the 'transition' between good and evil very well.
