The Girl in the Yellow Jumper

The movie is mainly about 2 men in a car where one of them is talking about what just has happened to him. For those who like me, thought there were many mistakes in the beginning of the movie, it will all make sense in the end of the movie, I promise.

I thought this film was great. The plot and suspense are outstanding. A gripping tale. Some things that may seem like plot holes, like how the police officer leaves his weapon in the car with 2 suspects, and easily believes the story may actually be a commentary on the police force in African countries. I felt that. I like that the parable of the scorpion and the frog panned out at the end; he ended up being the frog that carried a scorpion. That the old man is probably serially killing the villagers who burned down his house is also aces. Probably takes an African mind to get some of these plot lines. Some slow acting at the start but quickly picked up pace. And the way you keep wondering about the yellow jumper, where the girl is, why the flash back is the guy's right hand and it is the left that us bandaged. And how it is all explained when he's in the bathroom and looks in the mirror and asks what he did to himself. Just awesome! Overall a yes; a worth it watch for lovers of thrillers, mysteries, a bit of gore and hidden meanings.

This is a great Movie ... This is an inspiration and Motivation to Ugandan Film Makers ....I Loved It... The beautiful scenes ,the storyline was unpredictable. I've rewatched it countless times and I highly recommend it.

Wow such a creavite demonstration of unmasking the truth. The truth that shifts based on the narratives. The moment another storyteller takes the narrative the victim turns to the villain. Some parts don't add up but for those who are watching carefully, they are just signs to remind you better be careful and some doubt. The hints to make you think whether to believe the story teller or not. The left hand- right hand mix up, the burring allive and coming back, the police afficer missing out all the obvious evidences... I loved the sub-narrative of a serial killer running in parallel.

This film blew me away. A bit of Tarantino, a bit of Rashomon, in an African setting. Excellent script and acting. Directing, editing - all solid. A must watch for 2021.

A really excellent film that is so UNDER-RATED. If you enjoy action/thriller movies, you'll love The Girl in the Yellow Jumper. This film is as good as any Tarantino flick. I started watching this movie out of pure curiosity. It drew me in as it was riveting & full of interesting twists. A good watch.

Cinematography and editing are fine, actors are fine too .. BUT ... you have a policeman that find a stranger that tells a unbelievable story of torture and burial and killing and that is seriously wounded too ... and all he does is talk as if nothing happened? No runs to the hospital, no runs to the Police station, no serious questioning about what did happen. He looked more like a passerby than a policeman. Then at the endig we have the policeman sister that tells the true story, but still we don't get the full story. In his words we saw him strictly tied to a chair and tortured; was this reality or was this a lie? And if this was a lie, what did really happen and how did he escape from them? Apart from this the movie wasn't a truly bad one...and the final twist of the silent passenger revealing as the serial killer is interesting ... but here too there are inconsistencies. Eventually we see that the passenger's pouch is full of broken cigarettes. Should we believe that this "witness", so dangerous that he had to be handcuffed, had not even been searched? Due to these inconsistencies I cannot give more than 5/10.

Sorry, but it was like slow hell. And not in a good way. The diractor was trying to be sophisticated, it didnt work for him. The actors was fine thoe. To tell a true story you need to be more senstive . And that movie was just somthing to impress. Not wide and not deep. I did liked the colors and the location. But in general it was waste of time.

100% acting I literally love this Ugandan movie I would like to enjoy more like this than you loukman Ali you made me proud ♥️
