One year as a kid my parents surprised my sister and me with a nes on Christmas. This movie was great from start to finish. Thank you so much for all the hard work and never giving up. And thank you for bringing back all the precious memories of gaming over my life. This movie is truly a gem for any one.

Adventures in Game Chasing takes you back to the 80's and 90's, the music, the films, the games that you grew up on.
Why do I say without the disappointment? Because this isn't a reboot of a film you loved and lets you down because the characters got old, just like you're doing, or isn't what you wanted from it. This is new, but familiar and pleasing.
I particularly liked the intro with the lead characters Billy and Jay are playing around and they're represented in a video game - it sets the tone well of the two leads.
The acting of several characters does let it down but the chemistry between the main four we're on the adventure with is good and natural, you believe they're friends. Thankfully some of the better performances comes from the characters we see the most, notable for me is Jay who seems natural and gives me Jay and Silent Bob vibes.
I enjoyed the trolls and meeting the redneck in the woods, again more throwbacks to various films we may have watched such as Ghoulies and it lengthens the adventure, touches on stoner movies which I like as a throwback too.
You'll be able to pick out further scenes that remind you of other classic films. When the Ghost Getters reveal their new car it's very reminiscent of Ghostbusters revealing Ecto1 and Dumb and Dumber when Lloyd swaps the van for a bike, with Harry's reaction ("and you totally redeem yourself!").
Some of the comedy can be a bit tough and the acting doesn't help, but I think it generally flows well enough that you aren't questioning it.
I think the score is really good and the choice of some established releases really helps the feel. A particular favourite is Stan Bush's Never Give up (2020), Stan performed Never Surrender from Kickboxer and it's very similar. If that doesn't take you back, nothing will.
Ultimately it's a feel-good, coming of age film that will make a lot of us remember what we used to love and maybe should take some time out to enjoy again.

The Gamechasers have always been like a best of youtube.
Seeing them pull together crowd funding and make such an amazing and stylistic movie is an incredible story in and of itself and would make a great plot for a second movie.
Everything from the Stan Bush song to the CG intro is fun and kept a constant smile on my face.
There's a really touching story here on top of of a fun road trip movie. If you have fond memories of the NES or are interested in retro game collecting at all this is a must watch.
Kudos Gamechasers!

The best way I can describe this movie is it is a throwback to the 80's and 90's silly childhood shenanigans mixed with a road trip adventure whilst encountering interesting characters. This indie flick is mostly a love letter to the fans of the series, which was created with a low budget but made with a valiant effort to entertain whomever views it.
The main cast members are YouTubers, who are not professional actors, but you see their personality come out from their acting chops. With more screen time, you can see their potential in their efforts.
This comedy is very silly, low brow/slap stick with nods to the 80's and Ghostbusters references. This movie is full of hijinks that is kid friendly, in case you are wondering about the content shown.
The cast interaction has good onscreen chemistry as well. Billy & Jay were a good duo (reminding me of Trey Parker and Matt Stone, in my opinion), with the supportive goofball friends, Eric and Chief (who are hilarious and made me laugh) and their comedic chemistry is like a bunch of guys who are kids at heart.
My favorite highlight would be the end song by Stan Bush called "Never Give Up" because the tune was very reminiscent of songs that were played in the same style of 80's uplifting tunes that you can nod your head to it.
Overall, an enjoyable movie that had me chuckling throughout the entire time. It is a funny storyline that didn't stray but had that deeper meaning of going back to that time of your childhood and the need to experiencing the simply joys of playing video games with your best friend. That is where you can relate with the characters the most. It brings you to that moment in time of the 80's nostalgic era. Do your part by supporting this movie and just enjoy watching it. Let it take you back to your childhood.

This amateur-hour C-grade film would make a fifth-grade drama class laugh. This is so poorly filmed it's cringe. The story is cheese, the directing is terrible and the acting atrocious. Even the sound is very poor, do they even know what boom mics are. The 101 min runtime dragged out and out with slow pacing and a hollow story with poor attempts at humor. The dialogue was worse than any soap opera. I'm not even sure what the point of this film was. You know a film is terrible when the clearly bogus high reviews are more entertaining. It speaks volumes when the filmmakers don't even have faith in their own film to resort to these sad tactics. Don't waste your time on this nonsense.

For this crew's Freshman attempt, they knocked it out of the park! Cinematography and vfx were stellar and The Ghost Getters stole the show! Hilarious and well worth the rewatch.

Killer cast, great story, and a bunch of nostalgia goodness.
Also if the director is reading this, your killing it dude. Idk if you hear that enough but man every time you put something out you put smiles on peoples faces. You also continue to inspire me to make my own videos and mini movies. Getting to the point, there are going to be trolls, I know you know that. But don't forget you have an entire fan base in your corner. Keep killing it bro.

After watching this movie twice I really have come to appreciate the hard work that went into it. This isn't me sucking up to them either. Yes I love the game chasers youtube channel but if you take that away it's still a great movie. If you grew up in the Nintendo Generation you'll totally get it. One day you just wake up and you have to go to work, you have responsibilities, and you never really did what you said you were going to do when you were a kid. And if there was just some way to grasp a little feeling from the past...youre going to do it. This is what Adventure in Game Chasing does. It reminds you of the good times, hanging with friends, getting yourself into what seems like impossible to get out of situations, and even near death experiences that you just kind of shrug off. Is it the best movie in the world and is it going to get an Oscar? No. But thats not the point. It's a love letter, an ode to "The Good Times". When it becomes available...give it a chance.
