I have been suitably impressed with the quality of the reviews I have thus far read (good to see a University degree is not a waste!). Just a question and I do hope a die hard fan can answer me this: Why is it in the opening scene 'The beast with a billion backs'all people including scientists do not know the cause of the time rip that has been present for a month where as at the end of 'Bender's big score' it was known to have occurred due to the overuse of the time travel code? How so is the cause of the first film so easily disregarded for the second one? Could someone be so kind as to explain it to me? Indeed I have searched for answers however I am hoping one of you kind folks answer me the riddle I just presented. Cheers.

I love Futurama in general. Because even when it's not funny, it's usually still interesting or in some way profound.
There are numerous funny parts in this movie, but if you're into little bits or jokes, or are in any other way immature like a lot of people are who have seen this movie, apparently, then it's not for you. Most of the humor is in the various concepts and ironies of the plot. That's what Futurama's all about. If that's not what you like, go watch Aqua Teen Hunger Force and quit complaining.
The disappointing aspects of the movie are 1) the fact that Fry's constant pursuing of Leela has nothing to do with it, and 2) that it is minimally sentimental or profound compared with Bender's Big Score and the TV episodes.
Like I said, this is a great movie, but it certainly didn't live up to it predecessor, Bender's Big Score, which is an easy 10 out of 10. But I'm still stoked for Bender's Game, and especially for Into the Wild Green Yonder.

I would say it was the most terrifying-creepy-gross-depressing-funny animated film... of at least the last week. Quite longer at the most, but definitely no less.
Despite people's arguments, comparing the pros and cons next to the previous film, Bender's Big Score, this should be looked at as a stand alone film. Loving it, hating it, The Beast with a Billion Backs is still worth watching. Many, many, great moments that you will remember and cherish for the rest of your days. Filled with the brilliant one-liners, product placements, and the usual subtle hilariousness that make Futurama great.
This film gets my recommendation for anyone who enjoys Futurama.

This is probably the worst movie i have ever seen.I am a big fan of Futurama. The first movie even though not as good as the show was very watchable. But i seriously don't know why they even remotely thought of making this movie. There is no story line. There is no comedy. They haven't used benders character well. And the love life of fry is also very stupid
In fact i was waiting for the 1 hour 28 min to get over.I think was watching my watch for more time than watching the movie.I finished the movie just because i started it.So please don't waste an hour and a half of your life.

Two funny story lines intertwined into one big hilarious movie with a killer ending that that joins both stories together in a intelligent but witty way that still leaves you wanting more.
I'm sure that's what the pitch was at the Futurama studios when this began it's pre-production schedule, sadly it must have been pitched to the guys who make straight to video Disney cartoons because instead of the Futurama we know and love they cobbled a couple of old episodes together and tagged an ending on so badly you can see the staples.Save your money, save your memory of the series and save an hour and a half of your life.

Beast with a Billion Backs picks up literally right where Bender's Big Score left off. I don't care what anyone says, I loved Beast with a Billion Backs and found it even better than Bender's Big Score. It has the insanely dark story-telling that I've come to love in the series and it's also not as fans-only as the previous installment. The black and white opening sequence was fantastic. All of the characters had their moment to shine. Both guest stars Brittany Murphy and David Cross were great in this. The animation and music were better than in the first movie. Overall, Beast with a Billion Backs was even stronger than Bender's Big Score and I'd recommend it to anyone even if they're not a Futurama fan. My sincerest thanks to Matt Groening, David X Cohen, and the rest of the of the Futurama crew for this beautiful work of art.

Since I was very pleased with Benders Big Score I was eagerly waiting for this movie to come out. Now its here I picked it up and again am very pleased. It's not as good as Benders Big Score but it delivers endless entrainment just like the show. The Robot Devil makes the best guest star performance and just could not get enough of that scene. All the performances in this movie were amazing(David Cross, John Di Maggio, Billy West, Katey Sagal just to name a few!) the films commentary is great just like the one in Benders Big Score and I really do not like commentary. I well say the ending was a quit bad and it feels like they didn't try at all. The biggest disappoint come from were the Fry and Leela love story is not continued that made me made. But in the end this is a great DVD to own and its must if you are a futurama fan.
P.S In the DVD there's a sneak peak to the next futurama which looks fantastic.

Well continuing where the previous movie ended, the universe now has a giant rip in it. The Planet Express team and Wornstrum finally team up to explore the anomaly. Meanwhile Fry has a new girlfriend, Amy and Kiff gets married and Bender joins a robot league after having stocked Calculon. After a lot of weird events (that I wont spoil) Fry goes into the anomaly and later returns to earth taken over by a being that takes control over humans by attaching its tentacles to they're necks (I guess that's what they mean with "a billion backs"). Frankly this story was so odd and had so many twists and parallel story lines, that I'll just stop here.
If you already have seen "Benders big score" don't wait with seeing this one. It wasn't as funny as the previous film, but still worth seeing for an each Futurama fan. For its awkward(you'l figure it out) but still very humorous and unexpected storyline I'll give this film a 7/10.
