Clearly superior to the original Bunnyman in every way, but retains what did work in the original film. The sequel beautifully amps up the atmosphere, with an almost painter like feel to the photography. The halting, jolting score is a stand out as well. And though the shock of the film's ending was probably ruined by anyone one who has seen the trailer, those coming to the film with a fresh perspective will certainly enjoy the film even more. The acting is all over the place, with the girls having rather shallow roles. However that may be the intent of the filmmakers, for the true antagonist of the film is Bunnyman and the redneck character Joe (whom also returns from the first film).

If you're a fan of either the "horror" or "comedy/horror" slasher genre, you'll most likely enjoy The Bunnyman Massacre. I nearly didn't give the film a chance because of the title. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I sat down and started watching the film. That opening bus scene is definitely a way to start out a film, and grab the audience's attention. A lot of talent/craft went into this film.
They just really should have changed the title so people would take the film seriously from the bat. When I rented the film, I was thinking I'm in the mood for some low budget cheesy horror. However, what I got was a serious take on a absurd subject matter.
The film certainly delivers large doses of blood and gore, but the film goes deeper in digging into this deformed man's psyche. He just happens to wear a weathered bunny costume. Additionally, humorous elements exist throughout. Not the cheesy variety, but rather the dark humor type,
The Bunnyman Massacre, albeit absurd title, is a original horror film worth checking out.

A great nostalgic throwback to classic horror of the 80's.
As we know, nearly every film owes something to a film that came before it. Often indie horror filmmakers will tip their hat to movies in a similar vein, signaling to the audience that they are aware of what they're paying tribute to. It's a inspired move to frame an entire film within a style of filmmaking that came before it. which is exactly what the filmmakers behind Bunyman have done. They prove that an entire film can be shot to look like a film from another decade, while still creating a fresh horror film for the new generation. This stands in start contrast to the populist grainy found footage aesthetics or stylistic remnants of torture * that pervades current trends in the horror genre.
Bunnyman owes a debt to the look and storytelling style of the late '70s and early '80s. The popularity of this style can be traced back to the emergence of collecting VHS through horror fan culture who's waning interest in the more mainstream offerings of horror, consisting of the torture * and found footage type of films.
To all you horror fans in your late 20s and early 30s, who have loved the genre since their childhood, and want to return to the visceral, shocking fear that led them to becoming horror fans in the first place, then I suggest you check out Bunnyman 2 !

Creepy, unsettling and bare bones, this horror sequel will be the top of everyone's Easter horror movie plans. The film might not be as deep as other horror films aspire to be, but It follows the traditions of 80's horror films that proceed it. The film turns its viewers into paranoid spectators as Bunnyman meets up with redneck Joe from Bunnyman 1. The film both prolongs and heightens the potency of high school-age fears until they appear to be ancient existential terrors. Bunnyman 2 is a first-rate horror movie, and certifiably adds a new monster to the pantheon of horror films. While Bunnyman 2 is no perfect by any means, it succeeds in what it's meant to be. Expect pranksters to imitate Bunnyman for cheap shocks soon. Bunnyman 2 unnerves you by making innocent girls the victim of an unstoppable attacker, and on that level, it works far better than most horror films available today.

I was expecting something a lot worse than this, so guess cause I had low expectations, it managed to make somewhat of an impression on me.
They did build some character depth, showed some personalities here, still, the movie is not for everyone. A lot of talking, many unnecessary scenes, overall to be honest, I got bored. So many movies like this one, when they can't create a proper plot therefore, lets focus on some blood, tits and harsh language, maybe we can get away with it. I'm so done with such productions, no tension, no scares, nothing new, but they try to hit the horror scene for the sake of what? Wasting money, time and people's patience!
Nothing good came out of this one, so I will be a tad bit aggressive on it: The Bunnyman Massacre is a very weak attempt, where almost nothing happens, a few bullets, a chainsaw and a bunny costume. Nothing interesting, nada, zero, below zero actually. Go around this one and thank me later!
Cheers!

Bunnyman is back, and it's even more disturbing in a good way. Right from the get go we see Bunnyman means business this time around. I read some reviews saying the movie was disturbing and depraved, and in my book that's what you want in a horror film. You want a film to push the boundaries of what a viewer feels is safe and sacred. Horror movies aren't supposed to play it safe ! This film goes to places other films are scared to and that's why I love it so much. If you want safe horror, go watch Goosebumps. If you want a horror film that turns things on it's head, check out BUNNYMAN 2 ! That opening scene is worth the price of admission alone.

This is a fun slasher film that doesn't take itself too seriously. I saw this movie first and loved it. I then went and watched the original one which sadly wasn't nearly as good. This movie though was a serious slasher film, that hearkens back to the golden era of 80's slasher films. You know the ones, the numerous baby sitter massacre films, the insert crazy maniac in the woods films ad nausea. This is along those lines, but with considerably more going on with the psyche of the title character breaking down as the film progresses. The film is well made, and it proudly sits on my shelf along with the grand daddies of the genre. highly recommended, so pick this gem up.
