Worst movie I have ever seen! Don't read the positive reviews, Troy Duffy probably bribed his bar patrons to write them. There's a reason why he was blacklisted from Hollywood!!
Here are my top five reasons why this movie was so bad.
Screenplay, I lost interest in the movie within the first 3 minutes.
Acting, Sean Patrick Flanery, Norman Reedus & Billy Connolly were not that bad, taking into account the bad writing, everyone else was beyond bad.
Julie Benz was horrible, really bad fake accent, and although she is pretty, she should never be made out to be a sexy detective, it was like a really bad porno.
The soundtrack was unbearable it was like I stepped into a meat head jock bar in the early 90's.
The movie was so bad that I cannot ever watch Boondock Saints I EVER again!

Something you dont see today anymore, too offensive for the snowflakes, exactly whats needed on a boring day, kickass, brains off, corny, edgy, free do whatever you want filmmaking. 6 of 10 because its... not really a good movie in technical terms, but it sure is one trip of badassery you shouldnt miss out on, get weed, get beer, delete twitter, and just lock n load.

After the first movie I expected greatness. I guess I expected to much. This was one of the most awful movies I have ever seen. The acting was anything but good. I am not quite sure what they were going for with this but they failed miserably. The first one was so good and we were just left with an awful taste in our mouths after this movie. Simply horrible. I think the Boondock Saints should visit whoever decided to make this film. The only highlight was the body of the special agent. I would have enjoyed just watching her, as long as the sound was muted, because her acting was terrible. Great body though. If I could give this film a 0 out of ten, I would. I can't believe I actually watched the whole thing.

I was looking forward to watching this movie, until i actually rented it the other day that is. It was just plain boring and seems like it was put together in a day. There was no good humor at all and there was minimal blood and/or gore. Cuss words flew around like in an L.A county High school. It just sucked. The saint's weren't the same saints. Their acting was pathetic. I could swear none of the actors read their scripts before production of the movie started. I was so disappointed with this title. It ruined everything I thought of the saint's and "Irish" people in general. The story was stupid and played out. This is just another one of those movies that tries to pull people in just to make a little bit of cash and doesn't care about entertaining any group of people. I saw this movie with 3 friends at my house and both of them fell asleep during the movie. I stayed awake for it, I wish I hadn't.

Sorry fans. I just walked out after 30 minutes. I've seen the original at least 7 times and absolutely love it. I couldn't believe how hokey teenager this film was compared to the thrilling and suspenseful original. There are three new major characters in this one that came from either police academy 3 or ace ventura pet detective 2. very lame. sorry boondock crew but this was just really bad. it absolutely spit on the original. if you've never seen the original and you have the humor of a teenage boy you'll love it. if you've seen the original, i strongly urge not going to this bc you'll never be able to watch the original in the same light. all said, the theatre was nice and gave me my money back. but seriously, i just don't see how one can go from so good to so bad after so many years of preparation. btw - im not dissing on the acting. very specifically the script is just plain rubbish.

To tell you the truth, I was no big fan of the first Boondock Saints. I thought the violence was gratuitous, the plot stupid, and the dialogue boring. After watching this one, I can confidently say that Troy Duffy has matured and made a film with much more quality. Sure, the over-the-top violence is still here, and so is the naughty language, and even the crude jokes, but now, the plot and the dialogue seem so much more mature.
That said, there are somethings that could be improved in this film. I think this movie would have worked better as a 90 minute action flick, but it was actually pushing the two hour line, and I believe that is a bit too long.
However this is nitpicking. The Boondock Saints II is a funny, cool, action packed, and maybe even though provoking look into the actions of two vigilantes.

I wanted to give brief review here as something of a warning - this is the only movie I've ever walked out of.
It's been while since I saw the first Boondock Saints, but I enjoyed it. This movie is a continuation/re-hash of the same thing, only with considerably worse acting, writing, and damn near everything else (as far as my memory tells me - the original wasn't without its flaws, but things do get hazy).
Maybe I need to re-watch the original, but a friend of mine (who recently did see the first movie) hated this sequel more than I did.
Normally I can rely on IMDb ratings but in this case, the 6.1 rating it had the night I saw the movie was a bit misleading. I'm shocked to find it at 7.4 today!

(19%) I haven't seen the first, and I'm not too sure if I want to after watching this. Main issue here is that they tried to cover up the crap plot with a thick helping of overblown garbage that stinks up all the movie's problems resulting in them if anything being highlighted and more clear. The two leads are an insult to 2D poorly fleshed comicbook characters, and the strong desire to be cool comes across as forced and annoying. The performances at times are acceptable for this type of thing, but the script is hampered by clueless dialogue and lackluster plot structure. Also, how many times can these Irish Jules from Pulp Fiction wannabes fire without reloading? Because I didn't know handguns had 2000 bullet capacity sized clips.

For aficionados of the first movie, this is a sure-fire winner. It has everything a Boondock Saints fan could ask for. High body-count, slow-mo fight sequences and the über-cool, very likable MacManus brothers. What's not to like? Well, the acting for one -- specifically the supporting actors. For some reason, the supporting actors' performances were almost all amateurish and distracted from what could have been a truly great movie. Even though it has serious flaws and the critics are likely to be merciless, I am here to tell you DON'T BELIEVE THEM! Go see it for yourself. This movie rocks. And speaking of rock, the sound track kicks ass too.

Just got back from seeing Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day and I just wanted to say that it was awesome. It was a perfect way to come back after all these years. Almost every scene had me in tear from laughing so much. The characters are wonderful and the added characters of Special Agent Eunice Bloom (Julie Benz) and Romeo (Clifton Collins Jr.)really just enhance the movie. This movie was the perfect addition to the first because it really ties how all the characters fit and gives some much needed back story. I really think this movie needs to be shown in all the theaters across the country so all the fans can see it and make the hit it should have been the first time around.
