I wasn't expecting much when I started watching this film, maybe just another movie about mans best friend and his car. It was much more than that! This film is right up there with 'Marley and Me' with its heartfelt emotion. You'd never think a movie about racing cars could be this touching, but it really is. From beginning to end, I couldn't stop watching. The writing was excellent, and the acting was not too bad either. The voice over by Kevin Costner was my favorite part. Definitely worth a watch and makes for a great family movie night. You might need some tissues though.

"The Art of Racing in the Rain" - no other book has ever made me laugh and cry out loud like this one and I questioned whether the movie version would do it justice...it totally did! The actors were superb, chemistry real, and there's so much wisdom Enzo the Dog Star imparts along the way. Through Enzo's thoughts and Denny's behavior, the analogy of successful car racing and life's challenges is made clear with vision and sensitivity. There is much to learn and cheer about in this movie with beautiful scenes of taking care of those we love and never giving up, despite the odds. We also get to see how everyone screws up from time to time but if they keep their eye on what they want and believe in, they win. And Enzo, who's always living in the present, goes "dormant" when he needs to avoid distraction of worrying about the past or future. Great stuff...I'm going to read the book again, and highly recommend this movie to anyone with a heart and soul.

I had been surfing past this gem of a movie, for weeks,man am I glad I stopped and watched! Within the first 10 minutes I KNEW it was an amazing movie! Put this one in with Beaches, Forrest Gump and The Color Purple, simply wonderful movies that you will watch over and over through the years. One word of advice KLEENEX!

Amazing story ! If you don't want to cry do not entry the movie theater ! It is an emotional rollercoater .

I wish they had credited the little boy at the end who looked exactly like a golden retriever come to life!
