The only reason that I gave this movie a chance was because Kristian Nairn is in it. I'm glad that I did! He plays a fairly important role, but the main character is definitely the focus throughout.

I don't know why but before I watched this movie at first I thought it was a spoof, then a few minutes in I realized it was trying to be a serious horror movie. It started out pretty good and got creepy quickly, but it got slow in the middle and the ending was too predictable. I fell asleep at least once during the movie and had to rewind. That's not terribly unusual for me as I was watching it on a lazy Sunday afternoon, but then I saw a couple other reviewers also said they also got sleepy. The acting was pretty good and I guess that's the movie's biggest string, but the plot was weak and there wasn't any character development. You never learn enough about the characters to care about them.

You have to be in the mood for this movie. It's dark. Figuratively dark and literally in some areas given that it's the Middle Ages There are some absolutely scary shots in this story. Watch it yourself and see. Had to turn my light on. I will definitely sleep with my lamp on tonight.

As bad as you think it was... it was actually worse. I didn't know if it was a drama a who done it or a horror movie. It turns out it was none of those things though I think it was supposed to be creepy. No redeeming value.

I was surprised at the intensity of this movie. The genre was well portrayed and suspense was well achieved. I felt the ending could have tied up the reason of "why him" but overall felt the movie had a talented cast, a solid script and just enough suspense to pull it all through. Well done.

This movie isn't quite so bad. It has some good effects for a C list movie. It is let down but some father flat acting and dull story. It is quite spooky but never really surprises you.

This film was like pulling teeth. So drawn out with nothing given to the viewer. Atmosphere was great. Story was just terrible. It baits you with little pieces of the story only to give nothing in the end. Total waste of time.

Currently, this movie has an overall rating of 4.7 stars. I almost didn't bother with it but after watching it, I'm a little surprised that it rates so low. It's not a great movie but it's not terrible either. It's a little slow but it's unpredictable, which is something I value in a movie. Give this one a chance, just don't go into it with high expectations.

This movie was done on an extremely low budget, but it's well worth your time and money. Kristian Nairn is probably the most familiar name of the actors, and he puts in a fine performance as a "giant" protecting the main character. He's not Hodor here, he's Johnny. The story is interesting, not quite what I was expecting, less mystery and horror than I was expecting as well, but the actors' performances were amazing. I'd seen Jake Stormoen, Adam Johnson, Michael Flynn, and Baylee Self in The Outpost on the CW (and other movies for the men) and they are showing their range with this movie. Nuanced, compelling performances from all of them. This was clearly a passion project and that passion shows. Go see it.
