Like a great novel I enjoy how it takes its time in characters development. Great and easy plot to follow. Well executed production.

It wasn't terrible but it also wasn't very good. Watching the detective interview the victim Jennifer, made me cringe so bad. When someone comes out of a traumatic situation as horrible as she did, you don't yell at the victim during questioning. It was so bad. I've seen so many better sensitive scenes, on law and order SVU when it came to real life events. I'm an aspiring actress myself, so watching it was an insult to my empathy and acting. Esp if it's based on a true story. Could have acted with a much more compassionate attitude, he was basically interrogating her and yelling. Bad acting and bad directing.

I loved this movie. It does start out slow and stays a little slow until mid-movie but it all makes sense when it comes together. The ending was a little confusing the first time; I had to watch it twice and the very end left viewers with more questions. This is a psychological crime drama so it's going to make you think about what's taking place throughout the movie and how it's going to affect the outcome. The main female character did something the other female characters didn't and that's what made the plot twist very interesting to me. It's definitely worth watching but don't watch when you're sleepy or unfocused because you want to be focused for this one.

James Duval was good at acting, he carried the movie. The lead girl who played Jennifer - horribly bad acting! And the detective was horrendous at acting also. Make up was bad, filming was bad. I think their budget was like 50 bucks because it shows. The plot idea was good but badly written & sequenced. Wasn't cleverly done - quite amateurish. From the beginning to the middle it dragged. It seemed like it was about this kind of off, but nice guy who was just lonely. Then, in the last 10 minutes, they threw the whole main point of the movie in. Like the producer wanted a weird love story then instantly remembered he has to be a serial killer the last 10 minutes. This had a lot of potential but it totally ended up as a hot mess. Sorry James I hope you got paid well.

Acting isn't superb. It's very boring until the last 20 minutes. However, those last 20 minutes redeem the entire movie. Much better twist than what it seemed like it was gonna be. If you have some free time and maybe a project to finish, turn this on.

I thought the movie looked interesting and good by the description of the movie, and trailer. As I was watching i found myself wishing something big would happen, but it took a long while for it to get there for me. I like the ending. I know why he didn't kill her! He did the whole ritual like he was going to kill her (like all the others-you find out at the end of movie) But she actually got to leave and I think I know why. She listened she was falling for him, and she came up in her clothes not the bedsheets when she realized the shackles were off she went right up to him, not scared at all. And wanted to be with him. Thats why he let her go. That shocked him. All the other girls looked so eager to leave and almost scared. And she didn't. She didn't even want to leave. I was shocked by the ending up him killing the last girl they showed with the nudity and you realize what a sick guy he really was. I liked the movie and thought it was good storyline. But I wish it was put together slightly different.

Based on the other reviews, I was ready to pass on this movie but decided to give it a try anyway and found myself pleasantly surprised. The movie does a good job portraying the after effects of Stockholm Syndrome and the feelings that victims may experience during and after a kidnapping. This film is more psychological than most typical abduction-type movies. The ending does offer more to be desired, but other than that, it's a sad film that deserves a chance.

This is my first review, but I thought I owed it to anyone planning on watching this terrible movie. Firstly, it is just so ridiculously unbelievable it hurt. I can't count how many times I rolled my eyes. They decide to open with their main actress drinking in a bar yet she looks maybe 17, a little contrived. The behaviour of the detective was so unprofessional it was unrealistic to think that they'd be treating a victim that way. Not to mention how painful his acting was. I'm not sure if it's just me, but the main actress' voice just drove me nuts. Then we get to where she's held prisoner in her captor's basement. Not once does she ever try to escape, this makes for a painfully slow dragging experience. She had a perfectly good opportunity to jab him with the sedative when he undid her chains, yet she did nothing (even though she's being chained up and being forced to wear a diaper...) This seemed highly unbelievable. We're supposed to believe that she was held captive for 5 months, yet they never show any progression of time or character development. The ending of course was also disappointing. After discovering he's a murderous psychopath, nothing happens with this information... I expected her to go back to the farm and save the last victim's life, but that would be asking too much. I had to watch to the end because I had an inkling of hope that it would get better, but I was wrong!
