I actually really like the actresses' work in other genres', and think Chastain is fantastic. Having said that, did Hollywood really think anyone would want to see this? I feel like any regular movie goer would tell you they could care less. Nobody wants to see these talented ladies in an action film like this. It doesn't help that the story, action scenes, villains, etc. Are all bland. Hopefully they will learn their lesson, and stop flushing money.

6/10 - rather than exclusively focusing on being the rarity of a female-led spy thriller and forgetting to build up a story, this film is mostly fun, has impressive action sequences, and is just as original as any other recent entry to the genre (side note: IMDb really needs to do a better job of vetting reviews for movies like these that attract a lot of trolls)

The 355 has an extremely predictable plot and does nothing new, however it's still an enjoyably average espionage thriller due to strong performances from a terrific cast and a solid pace. Jessica Chastain, Penélope Cruz, Diane Kruger and Lupita Nyong'o all give great performances with good chemistry despite their generic characters. However, Fan Bingbing is given a rather thankless role. Simon Kinberg's direction is competent with a few satisfyingly energetic action sequences to balance out the clunkier ones. The music by Tom Holkenborg is really good and fits the film's stone and style perfectly.

This film start with a bunch of people raiding a place, and a man "Luis" reveal himself scene! As turnout, this film is about a female CIA agent "Mace" need to assemble a female team to stop her lover "Nick" to possess the so called top secret weapon! Entire film full of boring conversation, and annoying overuse scene! Such as, overuse of the walking scene, overuse of the searching scene, overuse of the arguing scene, overuse of the calling names scene, overuse of the drinking scene, overuse of the driving scene, overuse of the staring scene, overuse of the hacking scene, and overuse of the talking on the phone scene! Make the film unwatchable! All the action scene have blood, things broken, and explosion at certain point, but overall portray by sideways, and occur in too short of time! The martial art fighting scene also too slow, and messy! Make the film frustrated to watch! At the end, Mace, and her crew manage to stop Nick to obtain the top secret weapon! That's it! Another disappointed film!

The Good : Diane Kruger is pretty darn good because of a decently written character, serviceable plot...... and that's it. The Bad : it's too long, the fight/action scenes are awful, can't understand Bing Fanfan's accent, terrible ending, lots of China pandering, N'yongo has a handbag like the wardrobe to Narnia carrying everything they need for all the missions all the time, Chastain cannot do action scenes at all, woke plotting meant it was predictable because all the white men were bad. Poorly directed and overly edited fight scenes covering up the fact that 5 middle aged women can beat up dozens of trained assassins.

I went into this thinking it would be somewhat like the female version of oceans 11 (which I did enjoy - it was cute and fun) It is. (Because it is female lead) Except it boring. (Which oceans 11 wasn't) There is nothing original about it. The twists and turns are PREDICTABLE. The acting, completely phoned in. I've seen kindergarteners giving better performances. (I know there are multiple oscar winners in this but damn are they looking like they should be returned) The cinematography is meh. The sound/score is meh. The story is meh. If meh was a film this would be it. I cant believe I paid to see this and honestly I dont know why I did. I am a woman. So i dont want to be accused of review bombing *because* women... Do NOT waste your time with this movie.

3 out of 5 stars. Decent action thriller. That tries to reignite a female action franchise like James Bond or Jason Bourne series. The cast ensemble is good. The action sequences are okay and forgettable. The plot is cliche and thin. Could have been better.

I went into this with open eyes hoping that it might go beyond the stereotypes and be entertaining in its own right I am sadly disappointed. The plot is weak and predictable with the humour lacklustre however they do have a couple of redeeming moments. The acting is a shallow and the characters not developed in depth meaningfully. What annoys me most about these films is that it should be about showing strong women in typically male dominated roles instead it shows over emotional women who constantly have to phone home or make dry references slating men . Watchable but only just.

Just simply 'bad.' Very hammy & cheesy, i just couldn't get into it. My wife fell asleep, had to keep waking her up! LOL Acting was wooden and dialogue campy and forced... I just could not figure out what direction it was going! I'm sorry but i highly recommend avoiding this film, it's a lot of money these days & in this terrible economy.
