There is a song in this movie that no one can find. I wished it can be easily located when you search for it through the title. They definitely need to make it alot easier to find for the viewers! It's a really good song. I seen where alot of people wishing to find this song! & was unsuccessful of locating it!!

Obviously this movie is based on the real 2014 case involving a scary Internet character and 3 12 year old girls. I've followed not only the lore behind the real character, but the real case. This movie does a great job of illustrating this case and the people involved. Most all details are parallel and it's quite interesting to see how respectfully they did it. The quality of this movie of course isn't high budget, but it's good. Sophie Grace is a phenomenal actress for her age. She played the part perfectly. It was sickening almost. I highly recommend this movie.

And so what? I revised the score twice, from 6 to 8. It is not a horror movie. It is based on real life. Don't be misled by the title. And it has empathy.

The actors were amazing in the film. The little girl who portrays Peytain was a little over the top but they were spot on the other two. I think the father with schizophrenia really made the movie that more interesting. Followed this case since the beginning. Very indifferent about how I feel about the crime and the sentencing. I think it would of been more interesting to put the sentencing and after sentencing....maybe horror in the woods part 2?

Wow, copy the Slenderman story but change the creatures name. Hollywood needs to try some new ideas and quit remaking crap.

"Terror in the Woods" was reprehensible in the way that the parents of two deranged kids were portrayed. There were clearly warning signs all over the place that the two besties, Kaitlin and Rachel, were heading for disaster. Yet, the filmmakers chose to depict the parents are unsuspecting and naive when they were actually irresponsible, dim-witted dullards.
There was one scene where young Kaitlin was making a drawing at a restaurant. If the parents wanted to teach the kid some manners, she shouldn't have been allowed to draw at a family gathering in public. The parents were only promoting the kid's anti-social proclivities. Then, the father Nathan, who has "a chemical thing in the brain" requiring a small pharmacy to control, chooses to place the kid's drawing on the home fridge!
In one of the most important scenes in the film, the intuitive teacher recognizes the deficiencies in Kaitlin's social skills, meets with the mom Dani, and informs her that there are likely environmental issues to deal with at home. The mom goes into denial and even uses for an excuse that her husband is fighting mental illness. Similarly, Rachel's situation, torn between an over-indulgent father and a hyperactive mother now separated from the husband, was equally dysfunctional.
The film was so unpleasant that it was cringeworthy, especially when Kaitlin and Rachel decide to perform the ritual sacrifice of one of their classmates to placate their fantasy overlord that is the product of their sick minds. The Suzerain may see all, but the parents of these kids were totally blind, allowing their kids to search for a magic palace of their imaginations, but ending up in the Georgia Detention Center for Girls.
