This was a cute, sing-tastic film that for any teen, or young at heart for that matter, to enjoy.

I think it's a great musical. I loved the acting in the film. It was definitely a fun Christian movie for all audiences.
One of the better ones for sure!

On my usual scavenge for bad movies I came across this on Amazon prime. Obviously I had low expectations, the trailer looked straight out of Imovie! But somehow it couldn't even meet those low expectations. The terrible cinematography, acting and long drawn out songs left me fighting the urge to turn it off. To be honest I'm a fan of bad movies, I sat through Fred 3, Camp cool kids, 2 headed shark attack and many other terrible movies. I thought it would be just another funny bad movie, the difference between them is they were still interesting, they may have been cheesy and cringy but I still enjoyed watching them because there were some unexpected laughs. Its always fun to laugh at bad acting, terrible cgi and stupid scenes. With this movie they seemed to take everything I enjoy from a good movie and throw it out and everything from a bad movie and throw it out making it an utterly boring and a unenjoyable movie. By the last 30 minutes there were 3-4 songs lasting over 4 minutes with only 30 second breaks. We didn't even see the main characters until the final 4 minutes! It was agonizing. Before that the woman literally "died" after being in a walk in fridge for 5-6 minutes! It was embarrassing watching the whole scene fold out, with the ridiculous "voice to text" instead of calling her boyfriend and him taking SO long. I feel myself rambling on and on but I haven't even scratched the surface! There was no rehearsing for the play making it confusing because twenty minutes ago most of them "weren't it"? WHAT? It was extremely disappointing seeing how the barely used the girl who I found the best singer ( I do not remember any names but she sang with the boy in the bullying song in the red shoulder top) I thought she definitely had potential (saying that it may be because literally every other singer sucked) The long winded pool scene may have been the worst. WHAT WAS THE POINT? The story with the goth girl and her issues could've been explored more but it was really a 5 minute useless talk. Like the rest of the movie useless crap. Don't get me started on the "villain" who after "killing" the main character just disappeared? WTF?? Overall, if your like me and you enjoy bad movies, or just saw it and thought maybe I could try it. Don't. Don't waste 126 minutes of your life on this for lack of better word, utter garbage.

This film is the work of many, and in support of the many artists who came together and shared their talent, I am giving it a thumbs up. It is the first film of an aspiring director, and it was a very big goal to take on. When I first saw the story line it reminded me of Sister Act -the story where Whoopi Goldberg played a nun and coached inner city kids to sing in a nunnery while hiding out from her mobster of a boyfriend. The main difference between the two films is the synergy and the flow of character development. A lot of time was given to the stage show in this film, whereas in Sister Act the stage show is only shown in snippets that highlighted the actual story line and no full songs were seen from beginning to end except a few very key songs to the characters development. Therefore, some may find this transition from story into full fledged stage performance 'jarring' and feel that the film does not flow well. The directors vision was to put a musical within a musical- this will feel strange for many as it is not a flow that many will be used to. There are golden moments all throughout though, and I sincerely hope those are seen and enjoyed.
