This is brilliant. The story was really good, I love the dark sinister feel throughout and the end was just brilliant. Well done. I hope they can do a follow up in a second one.

This movie sucks so much that I've actually 629397 gone to the trouble of creating an IMDB account just specifically to give it a 1 star. The storyline is dull slash frustrating, the dialogue sucks, the lighting is crap, I could go on...

What the hell did I just watch? Obviously very low budget and mostly shot in the pitch dark. The acting isn't good and even though the film is only 77 minutes long it feels like it goes on forever. Sutton is in his room, goes down to the basement, repeat. A poor effort which becomes annoying very quickly. Avoid this mess.

Wasted all that time watching this film. Seems very disorganised and like the ending they just run out of ideas. Had the potential to be a good film so it's a shame really.

I enjoyed this movie! Yes, the pace may be slow. It mostly is a mood that builds up, rather than a story. But it has a very disturbing and therefore interesting atmosphere. Something is wrong, quite wrong. Only after a while it is clear that there is something very wrong with Sutton himself. I like the vintage and lofi vibe. Acting is convincing to me. The shot of the face in the floor is pure horror. This story has no Hollywood ending.

The acting was a bit off and the dialogue was horrendous. Most of the movie is way too dark and very disorienting. This in combination with the flat character, makes for a drawn-out and boring watch. The story was bland and quite predictable - but it is the strong point in all of this. Although it has terrible pacing. The sound design is laughably over-the-top with so much going on. There are badly timed and badly suited music playing from time to time, unsure if it was an attempt to tie with the story, but out of context, it makes for a really bad first impression. The movie does not really pick up pace until it is over, and if it were not for the introduction of the second character, it would have been even less bearable.

Protagonist Edward Sutton's narration tells us that that he is a detective at the local police department; since an injury on the job he has been off work. He has also become addicted to the painkillers he takes to treat his injury. He lives in a rundown apartment with his wife who is away on business. On the TV he hears a report about a child being kidnapped and the weather forecast warns of an approaching storm. He starts to hear noises coming from the basement and starts to investigate; what he finds convinces him that an horrendous crime took place there. The central plot of this seventy seven minute long film is intriguing. For most of the film we are with Officer Sutton and see the story as he narrates it... how reliable a narrator he is isn't clear. He may be telling the truth as it happened; he may be paranoid, delusional or just lying... which of these is the case doesn't become apparent till the end... my assumption as to which changed more than once. This plot kept me interested although there are clear problems; much of the film is overly dark and the acting is fairly average. There are plenty of twists as the story reaches its climax not all of which were expected. Overall I thought it was decent enough considering I've heard of nobody involved in the production and it is clearly very low budget... so, not great but had enough to keep me entertained.

How am I going to get back the 77 minutes I wasted waiting for something to pop out of the blackness. This is a dreary movie mostly shot in blackness. It is the same old 'cop hunting himself' story. Nothing unexpected happens, nothing really pops out of the dark to surprise the viewer. I sat and watched to the expected ending. I had to wake my wife up twice but let her sleep the third time because she was not missing any exciting minutes - there were none. The acting & script was what one would expect in a B (C really) movie. The lighting was so bad most of the time I couldn't help wondering if they could not afford the electricity and pay the actors too. The sound was deplorable and not worthy of any movie production. I gave it no stars, it does not deserve any. This is a 'straight to video' movie, the type of video you would give to someone you do not like
