Admittedly, I'm only nine minutes into this but I'm not sure I'm gonna make it through to the end. The premise is interesting. He sets the special up as a late night talk show. He comes out as though he's doing a monologue and I'm not sure if it's his delivery or the material, but I just haven't laughed once. It's like he studied late night monologues and copied the worst jokes from them. At one point he pretended explaining the jokes to a woman in the audience but from the sounds of polite laughter from the rest of the audience and the solo clap he got on a truly stupid joke, I feel like she just didn't find him funny, and she wasn't the only one.
I've seen other Byrne specials, and they were much better than this one. Not really sure what happened here.... When even your band is heckling you, something is very, very wrong.

If you're easily offended, you might want to skip this one. I am not and I loved it! He makes fun of everything and everyone, and most importantly himself. So much has been lost in the last few years because of cancel culture which should be called -cancer culture- because it's killing fun and laughter. This was refreshing and funny. I laughed so hard- especially the ending with the romantic homeless man and his sons sense of humor! Great job Steve!!! It's nice that there are comedians still around that believe and practice free speech. We need more comedians pushing back against the nonsense that everything is racist. Steve-Please keep it up!

A couple days ago on my day off I watched The Last Late Night. What an amazing special! If you're into great standup comedy and a late night feel you've come to the right place. Find your favorite sofa or chair at home, grab some drinks and friends and press play!
I laughed so hard, so many laughs. My friend walked in while I was watching in my living room and just burst out laughing at one of the jokes about how there's no HR on stage. Ha! You've gotta watch to see what I'm talking about.
On top of the show being so funny, I loved that Steve brought in a band to play on stage during his show. Super classy and slick!

I was happy to see something fresh and different and funny. Too many specials were getting made and a lot of comics forgot about the "special" part of it.
Steve put together his ode to late night in a very thoughtful way. Everything from the set to the variations of joke structures throughout, was executed with laser like precision. The dude is a pro and it's nice knowing that there are still comics working today that operate on that level. You can tell Steve did his homework when it comes to the history of the late night format. The set is sick - it looks like he has a believable late night network show which allows you to easily fall into the visual nostalgia. Highly recommend. Very funny.

Honest, very funny show. We need more of Steve and his frank and hilarious humor. Looking forward to his next Late Night special. Could evolve into a true Johnny Carsonish type program. Could give Gutfeld a run for his money! Steve's skills and talents go beyond description. His humor is smart and hits right at the issues. Whether you're black white Hispanic or Asian he calls you out. I don't know if he does all of his rotten writing but his jokes Are spot on! He ranks right up there with Chapelle, Bill Byrne, and Bill Maher. Good luck to Steve and I hope everybody discovers him at some point.

Steve Byrne is one of the funniest and hardest working comedians in the business and once again he does not dissappoint. A veteran is who not afraid to push the boundaries and is a master of his craft.
This is a great concept that he knocks out of the park. From his monolouge of one-liners, to tradional standup to his inredible crowd work, he keeps the pace moving fast and furious. If you sit within eye sight of Steve at one of his shows you better have a good sense a humour because he is going in!
The band was a great touch too and game for this . Kudos to them.
Strap in and get ready to laugh away.

Steve Byrne is one of the best comedians performing today and this might be some of his best work.
The concept behind this special is, well, special. If you've ever watched classic late night talk shows, (think The Tonight Show during the Carson era), The Last Late Night will leave you wanting more. It's timely, honest, bold, and, oh yeah, pee-your-pants funny!! The concept is well executed and beautifully presented. The band, the Neal "Sugar" Caine Trio, is amazing and the direction by Joe Gatto (his directorial debut, btw) is well done.
I could go on and on. Watch this special. You will not be disappointed.
