I have a love/hate relationship with the first film... because I have a deep love for the novel. This is a little closer to the novel in some ways. We all wanted the battle armor, we finally got the battle armor. We all wanted the Q-Bomb... we got the Q-bomb... ... sort of. But then... the novel embraced religion, ALL religions, and no shocker there, there are no atheists in foxholes and the novel is one perpetual fox hole. It has Casper back, and I like him. He should have been in more high profile roles, and he could have if he wasn't as.... blonde. When he wants to he can sell a role. And they play up the Nazi look, which is the satire I loved in the first one... despite hating how that same satire killed the source material. The assumptions they made about Starship Troopers were bread from NOT reading the book. So, all in all, this was a bit better in a lot of ways, and a bit worse. But despite it's flaws and the CGI, it was still entertaining.

Because when you try to watch it, possibly you would have unbearable headaches or disgusting nausea and vomiting ! This is nothing but another bullshit example of the worst movies ever directed and invested on ! I can not understand why someone waste a lot of time to product and direct these kind of useless trash ? The plot and fiction are even worse so that I guess even the most patient movie watchers can bear only 15 or 20 minutes of this. The places are unclear and the role playings are very blurred and bluntly. It is very plenty of irritation to get into a confusion and confabulation because of what the screenplay exactly tells about. As a result, I ask from the readers of IMDb to keep away all of their family and fellows from this so-called movie !

It's nice to know that someone on the board of the Vatican Bank's investment department has a soft spot for sci-fi. However, I don't think they should have been allowed to write the screenplay without someone monitoring them. I saw a user review where a guy mentioned that he thought this movie could have done without the overly religious theme. In my view, that's all this flick is about. By the time I got to the "Lord's Prayer" scene (unfortunately it was near the end) my gag reflex was overloaded and I could take no more. This is the worst excuse for a movie that exists on earth. I've seen some garbage come out of Hollyweird but on no level does this mess redeem itself. How do you screw up an alien shoot-em-up? If you really want to know, watch this trash.

Giant alien bugs are still invading, and we're still fighting. Especially Johnny Rico (Casper Van Dien) and Lola Beck (Jolene Blalock) - side note...didn't they die in the first? Anyway, they're fighting the bugs, and the government hangs anyone who opposes them. This is an 'unending war' that is extremely unpopular, but the government only punishes those who go against it...does this sound familiar to anyone? I gave it a 2 because it was better than Starship Troopers 2, but that's not saying a whole lot. Even the first one was horrid, I have no clue why they continued on with this 'franchise.' They need to really end this war, once and for all...for ALL our sakes!
