Loved the movie very much and very sad about the whole "it's giving Fault In Our Stars " magic aura but anywho loved it

"Spoiler Alert" tells the story of Michael (played by Jim Parsons), a shy and guarded pop-culture junkie who is hesitant to explore the gay bar scene in Manhattan. However, on a rare night out with a colleague from TV Guide, he meets Kit (played by Ben Aldridge), the man who ends up being the love of his life. Kit has the confidence and coolness that Michael wishes he had, and the two begin a relationship. Throughout the film, the chemistry between Parsons and Aldridge is electric, and their witty banter is a highlight. The film does a good job of showing the lovable sides of both characters, and you can see why they would fall so deeply in love. However, the film also covers the struggles of long-term relationships, including ordinary spats and more serious health issues. While the film follows the typical tragic ending for LGBTQ+ movies, it is still a sweet and touching dramedy that will resonate with audiences. Director Michael Showalter incorporates some surreal elements into the film, but they don't quite work as well as the realistic and true-to-life details. Overall, "Spoiler Alert" is a well-acted and heartfelt film that is worth watching.

100% absolutely amazing. I loved the casting. This is a rare film that made me laugh, cry and feel true emotion all at the same time. This film makes you think about your own life, your own love and remind you, that you never know how long you truly have. The cast was all fabulous. As a gay man, it felt so nice to see this type of film hit cinemas. Hearing the entire theatre cry their eyes out in the last half hour must prove they did a job well done. For sure one of my favorite films of the year. Jim Parsons was a huge stand out. Very well casted and very well acted. Please go see this movie.

A masterclass in emotional turmoil, Spoiler Alert is the gay romantic dramedy millennials have been waiting for. Anchored by speculator performances with wonderful dialogue, this is a treat to witness. I loved every beat. I highly recommend trying your best to find a theater where you'll be the only one because tears will inevitably happen. Not quite sure why others here are saying something different, but as a 30 year old gay man, this touched my soul in ways other romantic dramas haven't. We need this kind of storytelling and I would highly highly encourage everyone to support this in the theaters so we get more.

When I saw this film at my local multiplex this afternoon, the theater was almost full and I can honestly say I don't think there was a dry eye in the house by the time the film ended. The film centers around a modern gay love story with the two lovers played Jim Parsons and Ben Aldridge. Both actors create believable and likable characters. Their relationship is also realistic in its presentation and is at times strained and troubled - yet the profound love the two characters have for each other survives everything. It was also wonderful to see Sally Fields playing Kit's (Aldridge's ) mother. In spite of the tragic outcome of the story the film is surprisingly hopeful, funny and beautiful. I absolutely loved it. I have noticed with recent films involving gay characters there are lots of unwarranted low ratings. Don't believe them. It is a great movie.
