If you hate this film that means that you took it seriously. This movie is not meant for those searching for brilliant acting and touching characters that you can relate to. This is a movie for people who want to see people die in horrible gory ways. This movie, as well as the first and third movies, contains some of the most bizarre murders you can possibly think of. This is a movie for die hard horror fans that can look past how cheesy this movie appears to be. Gore hounds will love the Sleepaway camp movies. I recommend it to anyone that likes movies with bad acting and cheesy special effects. Even if you don't like these kinds of movies I would watch it in order to learn how to use power tools. MUH HA HA

Sleepaway Camp 2 (1988) was another in a line of unwarranted and lousy sequels to good horror films. The first one was no classic but it is one compared to this tripe. My biggest pet peeve in a movie is when the film makers try to hard. Yes, they tried to hard this time. I hate that so much. If you're not funny and witty but you think you are and you cram it down the people's throats and beat them over and over in the head with lame humor is not cool! No one is going to fall for it! The only reason this movie got such a high rating is that the movie that followed this one is so bad that this one is a masterpiece by comparison and the first one is a classic. Not recommended, unless you love movie that tick you off!

Sleepaway Camp II: Unhappy Campers is the best in the camp trilogy. The gore scenes are great, Pamela Springstein as Angela is very funny and the cast of unknowns is very good. There is also a lot of nudity which is always good in a slasher flick.

Whereas the first Sleepaway camp wasn't meant to by funny (but was), this one plays it tounge firmly in cheek with mixed results. Bruce Springsteen's sister Pam seems willing enough to overact as the homicidal camp councilor. Emilo Estevez's sister Renee as the boring good girl. The Murders are creative enough. Cheesy but fun sums it up best. My Grade: 3 out of 4 bloody machetes Where i saw it: on the Box set (Sleepaway camp 1,2,3, and the unfinished part 4) Extras: commentary by director, writer & moderator,theatrical trailer,Behind the scenes footage, outtakes, Photo galleries & a worthless teaser trailer for Sleepaway camp 3 Eye Candy:Valerie Hartman sheds her top plenty o' times, some others do too, but Valerie's Ally is the only one that stands out in my mind.

Superior sequel takes the franchise in a brand new direction and is simialar to Scream in more ways then one. It mixes both the comedy and horror genres and features violence with a wink. Angela returns to camp yet again, but this time around she is a counsler and is outspoken and has gotten a sex change operation. She still considers to slaughter off any kids that annoy her. Memorable for Pamela Springsteen's perfect performance and its creative death scenes. This is actually able to make your standard 80's cliches seem fresh again. Rated R; Sexual Situations, Drinking, Drug Use, Nudity, Profanity, Adult Themes, and Graphic Violence all involving teenagers.

Sleepaway Camp 2 is definitely one of the best slasher movies out there! After seeing the first Sleepaway Camp, I wasn't sure I was going to like this, but I was definitely pleased. It has great gore, lots of death, tons of unecessary nudity, and good humor. This is a slasher movie that doesn't scare you but is still fun to watch. The first person camera-work was a great play on the Friday the 13th films. Highly recommended viewing.
