This has two stars because I like Dolph Lundgren and feel nostalgia about Brandon Lee's death. This is bad. It is poorly scripted. It is corny. It is full on 1980's. The only thing more painful to Bruce Lee than his son playing a Japanese cop would have been his son's terrible screen presence. The martial arts displays are good but the fight choreography is horrible. A series of one liners make this hard to watch. It is actually so bad in some places it may be good. Cary Tagawa is always fun to watch but water here. Nostalgia is only reason to watch.

Dolph Lundgren and Brandon Lee star as two cops who take on the japanese yakuza one man at a time to avenge the death of Dolph's parents. Showdown In Little Tokyo is a flat out sub-par action movie that will have you either laughing at the cheap production values or groaning from pain. It's hard to like a movie this bad. I have nothing against Dolph Lundgren or Brandon Lee but they really should have done better than this junk.and not only that Brandon Lee compliments Dolph on the size of his unit. See Dolph jump over a car,see him show off his kung fu and look out for the Yakuza guy who is so tough he will break their own necks rather than tell the cops. this different touches do little to distinguish Showdown In Little Tokyo from other Martial arts movies. Overall Showdown In Little Tokyo is a waste of time and should be avoided like ten year old sushi. * (Out of four)

Its too bad Brandon Lee died. I would really like to see more of his action, I know he has better movies. But I think him and Jet li or him and Jackie Chan would be awesome. I'm not a big fan of Dolph Lundgren. But him and Brandon were great together and he does have some good martial arts talents. This was the first Brandon Lee movie I have seen as Enter The Dragon was the first and only Bruce movie I have seen. Brandon Lee is a great wise ass with Dolph Lundgren as the serious samurai cop. This is the first buddy cop movie with martial arts and comedy before Rush Hour. Whicch I though would be better than this but I was wrong. Dolph Lundgren's sword fight was great as was Brandon Lee's fighting though Bruce would ground him for life if he saw how he moved away from Bruce's tradition of less shooting, more fighting.

I can not really say much about this film, it`s funny in places and a friendship blossoms between Brandon Lee and Dolph Lundgren. That sounds lovely. It seems obvious that the two actors have swapped roles, I mean Brandon Lee was from Hong Kong and was a martial arts expert, and Dolph Lundgren was just some guy from somewhere in America (not in real life though). Well then there`s Tia Carrere who plays a crazy little guy named Minako. Who is raped then tries to commit suicide, only to be saved by Dolph who ends up sleeping with her!!! Had enough.....well just watch it and it turns into a movie like Sunset Beach. It is not a very good film compared to Brandon Lee`s other films. I give this a Sunset Beach over the top 5 out of 10.

I'm not going to try and tell you this is the finest movie ever made. But it does star two incredibly talented physical actors doing what they do best - kicking ass in ways you or I never dreamed of. The 6'4", 235-pound Mr. Lundgren, displaying his 6th-degree black belt to an unusual degree, steals the show. See him leap over a moving car. See him hold his own against multiple attackers in a coffee shop - without spilling his coffee. See him defend against a punch with a cocktail tray - and when his opponent attempts the same maneuver, see him punch *through* the tray and knock the guy's lights out. Rarely are such power and grace combined in any one human. Brandon Lee, of course, was never at a loss for lithe martial fireworks during his short but luminous career. It's a pity these two never made it further than they did. If you're looking for tight, well-delivered dialogue, go see Tarantino. But if you want fights that will make your eyes pop out, look no further.

This movie was boring and just like every other damn movie out there! little speech and cheesy moves. Poor Brandon Lee is the only thing worth watching this film for, otherwise don't bother. I rate this movie 3 out of 10 only because Lee is in it.

Brandon Lee and Dolph Lundgren play two true cop partners in this heroic crime-action brought to the big screen. Speaking of big, Dolph Lundgren is, big, huge actually. Speaking of huge, Brandon Lee himself would have become a huge international star following in his daddy Bruce's foot steps and his fist strikes too, clearly. I love Brandon Lee. I love Tia Carrere. Carrere is such an Asian goddess. SiLT is such a man's movie. I love it. Gun, drugs, and girls in Little Tokyo, L.A., this movie's sweet!

Martial arts masters Dolph Lundren and the late Brandon Lee, son of the equally late Bruce Lee, play mismatched cops on the trail of evil Japanese gangsters, AKA: The Yakuza - so technically this is the 2nd film that features He-Man fighting the Yakuza, the other being the 1989 Punisher adaptation. And the iron of it all is that big brawny blonde Lundgren actually knows more about Japanese culture than half-Japanese/half Caucasian Lee! Oh how hilarious! Mindless action film made worth the price of rental simply by virtue of the fact that if features He-Man (Lundgren) and the Crow (Lee) in the same frame, exchanging barbs, cracking wise and kicking ass. Hot, sexy Tia Carrere co-stars.
